@@RMCbreezy we ask them to intercede for us. Not praying to them. I know I said that already. I don't know how else to explain it sorry. I have a Mormon friend who I really care about, and we butt heads about our faith (mostly about me bringing up things during our theological conversations that were written in the BOM that he denies or says they don’t hold that to be truth anymore). I am very hotheaded and stubborn, and when people don’t see what they believe is wrong I go all the way to find everything logically that can prove otherwise , but I also know it’s in Gods hands if He wants them, but what did these men say to you that drove you to Christ? I realize I need to change my approach to help my friend to take a step toward actually knowing what he believes in before believing blindly.

Christian here, who tried very hard to become a Mormon for my husband. Mormonism sounds like Christianity until you actually delve into what they believe. It just didn't jive, and I started reading my Bible again, and just had to get out of the religion. After 5 years it was difficult. The Mormon people are such good people who believe so strongly in the religion. This story moved me, and reminds me that even though I lost my husband, what I regained in Christianity is so worth it!!!

Amen to that sister. Jesus is in fact Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. He paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation. *This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn repent from whatever you trusted in before if indeed you trusted in anything to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.* Hopefully your ex husband gets saved. @Elizabeth-rk3do
@Elizabeth-rk3do 2 ай бұрын
@adrielisaacs9228 Here are some reasons why you should leave. The true and living God is omniscient. God already knew those who would be saved before he created the world. (Ephesians 1:4) God never needs to investigate anything ever. To say otherwise is blasphemy, breaking the third commandment. Jesus Christ never started the Investigative Judgment on October 22, 1844. That was just made up to cover up the failed prophecy of Jesus returning on October 22, 1844. According to the Bible, Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Elijah, Moses, Jonah, King David, Stephen, Noah, Daniel, and the thief on the cross were already in heaven long before October 22, 1844. ****** According to the Bible, Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God. It's been that way for 2,000 years now. Christ never entered the Most Holy Place on October 22, 1844. That was another lie made up to cover up the failed prophecy of Jesus returning on October 22, 1844. It breaks the ninth commandment.

@adrielisaacs9228 Jesus Christ said that we should go into all the world and preach the gospel. The gospel is in I Corinthians 15. Find a church that preaches the gospel. "I preach Christ crucified." I personally think that Reformed Baptist is closest to Scripture. They are hard to find.

Same story as our 24 year old son. He was even in CEF and Royal Family Kids Camp where he shared the Gospel with younger children. His 2nd year of college, he informed us that he no longer believed the Bible but was more of a ‘deist’. God has mercifully granted us a continued relationship with both him and his now fiancé so we are grateful for that. We pray for him constantly knowing that salvation is of the Lord. His older brother is a born again believer, raised in same Christian way, same household. Again… salvation from election to glorification is all of the Lord. He is a God who has sovereignly ordained to use the means of Gospel proclamation and prayer and so we trust Him for all that comes to pass.

I really enjoyed this testimony because I'm also an ex Mormon. On my journey to finding God I was a Mormon for a short time. I was lost and even after I left the Mormon church i still was trying to feel accepted and be apart of something. I studied Buddhism, started getting into tarot cards, grew up in a household where Santeria was practiced and found the mormon church at the time was the best thing for me. I can relate to Micah. I've seen the goodness of serving as a Mormon and all I recieved was a genuine kindness but it was not the true Gospel and I felt it for myself I knew in my heart that there was something not right. After leaving the Mormon church I had so many times that the elders would come to my home and try to bring me back. They were so kind and I had to tell them the truth how I felt and it's true that no matter how we want to say it that it does offend. I really had to tell them thank you for serving and I appreciate what you do but Jesus has changed my life and there is no way that I will return. I really admire the respect and qualities that the Mormon church has, especially for family. I have found peace and unconditional Love with Jesus and I don't have to do all these things to make me feel wanted I know God wants a relationship with me just like Micah said getting to know Jesus and reading the Bible as a child. Let your light shine for all to see. That is all. Jesus is enough. ❤ 🙏🏼

@@Tinalisa210👍 The first red flag for me was they were critical of my partner because he had to work weekends, this was back in 1992 and he was a computer technician, the switch to weekend work was new because already the systems were operating 24/7 , they could not shut down for maintenance during the week anymore so he was ordered in to work at the weekend. I was at that time at home with four young children, I was not earning an income, so I said to my partner ok don’t work weekends, but if you lose your job then we cannot pay our 10% tithing. He very wisely said to me ok, 😂 however the next weekend we were at Church, the then Bishop called me into the Bishopric office and asked me to sit down, He explained that special circumstances could be arranged for certain people in certain situations, clearly I was not getting the drift 🤨 so I said to him you are talking in riddles, I need to get back to the nursery ( I was at that time actually in charge of under 3 toddlers in a church crèche and one of those children was his son) and I was anxious because the room these children were in was not secure for small children. He gave me a weird look as I left that office. Fast forward a few weeks later I was returning to the service from the restroom, on my way back I passed the Baptismal font, a very deep jacuzzi enclosed in glass, to my shock I could see his three year old son had pulled a chair over and was attempting to climb in and was just about to succeed, I grabbed he child and took him by the hand to his mother, the wife of the Bishop. Later on after service I saw him and said I think we need to change the security around the Baptismal font, his response to me was don’t worry it’s easy to replace them, there are plenty more where he came from 😳😵‍💫🤔 I was in shock and speechless.

@henkaistudio
@henkaistudio 4 ай бұрын
They really do indeed and Mormonism is shown to be very similar to Islam and is shown to have a lot more in common with Islam then it does with Biblical Christianity just so everyone knows and here’s why I said that. Joseph Smith and Muhammad were both married to their first wife and that being Khadijah and Emma Smith who happened to be a lot older then both of them and they were both their spiritual advisers and biggest supporters and also Muhammad and Joseph Smith are also both white men who had started their own religions and that being Islam and Mormonism and they both spoke to an angel Joseph Smith spoke to an angel named Maroni while Muhammad spoke to an angel named Gabriel and also Muhammad is a polygamist who had married 13 wives while Joseph Smith he is a polygamist who married at least 40 wives and also both Muhammad is a pedophile who had married a 9 year old girl named Aisha while Joseph Smith is a pedophile that married a 14 year old girl named Helen Kimball and also Muhammad murdered people. Joseph Smith murdered people. Muhammad stole from people and also Joseph Smith stole from people. Muhammad is a liar and Joseph Smith is a liar and Muhammad is a hypocrite and Joseph Smith is a hypocrite and Muhammad is a crazy person and Joseph Smith is a crazy person and Muhammad had left behind authorized books that he claimed to be direct revelations from God, books that their followers accept as Scripture. Joseph Smith had left behind authorized books that he claimed to be direct revelations from God, books that their followers accept as Scripture. Muhammad was persecuted by hostile locals and later forced to relocate (from Mecca to Medina, during the formative periods of his career. Joseph Smith was persecuted by hostile locals and later forced to relocate (from Missouri to Illinois, respectively) during the formative periods of his career. Muhammad had established theocratic city-states during his respective ministries, Muhammad being invited to take the rule of Medina. Joseph Smith had established theocratic city-states during his respective ministries, Joseph Smith being invited to take the rule of Nauvoo, Illinois. See that’s the similarities between Joseph Smith and Muhammad now here’s the similarities between Mormons and Muslims and they have so much in common too and here it is. They both believe in the Bible and they believe that The Bible has been corrupted and they both don’t follow the principles of Sola Scriptura. Mormons accept the The Book of Mormon is their final authority and while Muslims accept The Quran as their final authority. Mormons had other books such as The Doctrine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price which expand and explain more while Muslims only had another book called The Hadiths with expound or explain more and also Mormons and Muslims both don’t believe in the trinity and they are both non trinitarians and they both don’t believe in original sin and nor infant baptism and they both believe that you have to live a good life and they both believe in a works based salvation and they both stick to their own traditions and they both have their own denominations and they both have their own temples and they both preach a false gospel and they both have a different message then the one that is taught from The Bible and they both believe in different Jesuses who is a created being and not uncreated and is not all eternal and also they both doesn’t have the power to save your soul nor anyones eternally then that is different then the one of The Bible that does have the power to save your soul eternally as well and see Mormons and Muslims have so much in common then they do with Christians which this is insane.

I was plagued with fear for them. One day while taking a beautiful drive with my husband, I began to get upset again about how they didn't understand Jesus' saving grace. Before I knew it I heard a strong loving voice say, " I Am taking care of them." I instantly was assured with all my heart and soul that our Abba spoke. How do you know you are saved? No one can declare themselves 'saved', not even Paul. 1 Corinthians 4:3 'But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. I do not even judge myself. 4 I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me'. Suggest you reconsider and get back to the Catholic Church which is the pillar and bulwark of truth (1 Tim 3:15), especially in your case because 'Outside the Church, there is no salvation'.

Catholisim is a religion not a relationship! Jesus doesn’t care one iota about your religion, he cares about a relationship. So many unbiblical things in the Catholic Church. @@Jel1386 Yes, totally agree. The scripture say many good things, but no where does it say you can declare yourself 'saved'. If Paul can't do it, then no way you can. However, we can comfortably rest in the 'hope' of salvation if we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The biggest problem with people, like yourself (guessing you are a baptist now) declaring themselves 'saved' is many (hopefully not you) continue to cling to some sin, like adultery for example (via divorce / remarriage) etc. even after they think they are saved. We are saved by Gods's Grace only and we receive that Grace by following the word of God and rejecting all sin. 'For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins'. Hebrews 10:26. The fact that you claim to know all about the Catholic Church and openly reject it's teachings puts you in a state of 'mortal' sin and you can claim 'I'm saved' all day long, but you are still in a state of 'mortal' sin. God Love You

@@Jel1386 Interesting, your idea of 'religion' vs 'relationship', but where exactly is that in the Bible? So you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the 'pillar' and 'bulwark' of the truth. (1 Timothy 3:15) What do you say is unbiblical about the Catholic Church? Assuming you actually believe the Bible, which didn't just fall out of the sky, but you got from the Catholic Church when the Bible was canonized in 392 AD.

@@johns1834 the Catholic Church teaches a few Bible truths, for sure. But need to confess to a priest, bowing to idols, indulgences, requirements of obedience to the sacraments, and other things stand as obstacles between the sinner and the savior. It is a works based religion, and it doesn’t count the Bible as the standard of truth, but rather it counts the words of human authorities (like the priests and the pope) as the standard. The catholic religion isn’t it. I’ve known it. I went to Catholic school for 8 years. Read the Bible, pray for Jesus’ salvation, and you will experience freedom from condemnation and the peace of God.

I was also a Mormon for 13 years. I left this church with all its false teachings 25 years ago. At that time I had a colleague who introduced me to a Protestant pastor. He studied the Bible with me for a year and it changed my life so much that I finally realized the truth of God's Word. Since then Jesus has been my only way, my truth and my life. Jesus is everything to me especially my personal Savior and Good Shepherd. Who takes care of me and protects me every day.

Hallelujah! Aman, Brother! You were offended by the truth. That was your medicine to swallow at that time! I am so excited about your testimony. As I hear you, Mormon teaching is very much like Catholic teaching - Salvation by your good works! My parents took me to the catholic church every Sunday in South Korea, but while in high school age, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that the Catholic church is a cult. God sent me to study in Germany and then moved me to Canada. There, Lord Jesus came to me. God saved me with His great love at the perfect time while I was suffering immensely from a lost state. He knew me before the foundation of the world, and even I did not know Him. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of your selves; it is the gift of God; it is not from good works, so no one should boast." Salvation is a free gift from God through Jesus Christ!!. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your sacrificial eternal love! My sister in Korea doesn't know where she is going after her death. The Catholic church teaches about Purgatory. Just imagine that!

We moved to Utah from California 11 years ago. We are born again Christians. I’ve been able to share with Mormons about the real Jesus and God. His Mother has an amazing testimony as well, being a professor at BYU. If you mention this guys last name, boy do you get a look, and it isn’t a happy one. I was told by an ex Mormon to read a book called, “CES Letter”, Jeremy T. Runnells. He wrote to the director of CES a letter regarding his doubts about his religion, and was told they would answer his questions and resolve them. No response ever came, so he put all his questions into this book.

I read that. However, it is more beneficial for a person with doubts about Mormonism to read the Bible. As you heard in his testimony, the LDS are taught that the Bible is corrupt and to focus their reading on other books, like the Book of Mormon. So rather than listening to opinions of men, direct them to the Bible. I speak from experience. God blessed me with a mother that, by word and example, demonstrated that the Bible is a readable book. I finally read it all and received a testimony that Jesus is worthy.

Jesus was gentle on me, He made my heart open to hear more and speak less, sometimes not to say anything at all. but to go on my knees and pray in the secret, for soul that needed Jesus, not me. I was not only listening to your testimony, but felt it within my heart, reflecting on what Apostle Paul said in Philippians 1:21 "For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain..." He’s actually not. If he does, he’s bringing a revival to the world and members in the church of Jesus Christ in the latter days(LDS) are not immune. Christians are not immune. Evangelical churches are so disorganized and divided by doctrine and greed it’s a far cry from being one gospel. Give Christ a Zion as spoken of in Joel. He needs a people that don’t just draw near to him with their lips, but that are pure in heart.

I’ve been praying asking God to redirect my path on worshipping Jesus and which I should attend. I was raised in a Christian church. During middle school I was converted to Mormon. I never really understood why I even join the church, but I just did and brought my husband and kids on board. Fast forward to now. I went through the wilderness late last year and seeked God with all my heart. Then I was a born again Christian. My husband disagree with Mormon religion so as we started going back to church. Found out the church we are attending now is Catholic. He was raised as a catholic, but never practiced the religion. So I’ve been praying a lot this month for HS to give me discernment and reveal truth. Last night I prayed with the most sincerity about going back to Mormon church or not..Woke up today with this first before I started my day! Wow 😮 God answered my prayers radically ✝️🙏🏼🙇🏻‍♀️ I need a new church to attend. Rejoicing in his name! Hallelujah in Jesus name! Amen!

Every Christian denomination is only a piece of the Roman Catholic Church. I grew up Catholic and couldn’t be more enamored of The Lord. This gentleman is right; “Christ alone is enough.” I never received any message that goes against this. The only Church where Jesus Christ is physically present is in the Catholic Church. Read the book of John, “For whoever eats my body and drinks my blood will never die. And I will rise him up on the last day.” The Catholic Church offers the opportunity to receive holy Communion. Google: “Eucharistic Miracles.” Listen to the testimony of Dr. Taylor Marshall, who converted to Catholicism. Everything Christians know about Jesus is thanks to the actions of a Pope from the Romann Catholic Church who put together the first Bible, who rebellious Luther then edited (took books out). Learn the history of how kings broke from the Vatican for mundane reasons. As imperfect and attacked 2,000 + years later is still stands because truly Jesus Christ and HIS love for all humanity is at the center of Catholic teachings ❤. FACTS. Listen to your husband and find a Catholic Parish that you feel called to attend. Read the Word and sit in silence across from the Eucharistic Adoration and ask for Jesus to show you which way to go. Proverbs: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart: do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” By the way, you don’t have to pay a dime to attend a Catholic Mass or to visit with the Holy Eucharistic Adoration. God Bless ❤

We all come from sinful backgrounds, because we are all born with the sin of Adam. Whatever church or upbringing or sin we come from, He chooses us and redeems us. Needless to say, by 8 years old my parents wondered why I had gone from being a happy child, to 6 months after they joined the Mormon church (when I was 7 1/2) I was now a depressed child. It’s a no wonder Utah has some of the highest suicide rates of its youth and highest antidepressant use of its youth and women. My youngest brother did kill himself. Works based religions, where you earn your parents and God’s love are deadly, literally.
