Edmond whatever you have pick up's you play fantastic the more important is the sound from fingers, all the best

Sounds fantastic! Obviously most of the sound is from the player... I wish I knew how these pickups vary from the JMVC FE/M2 and JC HE/M2 in terms of character. The Delano website doesn't have a description yet.

Love Delano products....they're truly amazing pickups. But these new Delano Times Square JC4TF have an incredible tone and punchy sound. Then again anything you play sounds amazing. 2 thumps up!!!

For steels they sound really smooth and fat. Not really clanky or zingy at all. Not sure if it’s the Delano pickups/preamp or whatever or if the strings have just worn in a little.

Wow!! Amazing Tone(s) and Amazing player as well👊🏾. I have a Fender American Deluxe Jazz 4 with the Gen.4 pickups; Do you think these pickups would sound warmer/punchier (in the low-mids) than the Fender Gen. 4 pups, with the stock Fender preamp? Thanks for posting, You're a Beast on that Bass Bro'.👊🏾

I've broken more sweat making a cup of tea! How on Earth do you do it?!? :)

Your playing is extremely good. Just one doubt ¿just changing pickups you get that sound or you have to change circuits too and/or preamp? I have a Jazz Bass American Deluxe and I'm interested on change mine to Delano pickups.
@adamb6969697 жыл бұрын
just the pickups man :) I've done it about 3 times with various basses and you don't have to change the preamp just the pups. If you have a jazz deluxe already then the preamp will be great already and you won't have to change a thing. changing the preamp will really only change how you EQ the sound but the fundamental tone will come from the pickups. hope this helps man, good luck with the upgrade! you won't regret it man :)

This demo inspired me to get the Times Squares and put them on my Jazz Bass. 3 years later I still love them. By the way, are these your tracks? Is there a way to get a studio recording of what we’re hearing?

making a single coil sound like a true single coil and have no single coil hum is impossible. Great playing though. and also the best strings ever made.

Brilliant stuff... Would these pickups work on a passive fender?
@homeslice14795 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is what they are designed for.

I'm way over the "sounds like single coils" marketing thing and it sound like you probably have a financial interest in the company. However you do make those sound extremely good.
@Jonathan_Doe_3 жыл бұрын
Tbh, split humbuckers like precision pick ups or a side by side coil humbucker like these jazz pick ups, DO essentially sound like single coils, because they only pick the sound of the strings up in one place. A traditional humbucker picks the strings up in two places, and kind of cancels out the harmonics going on in the area between the two coils because the coils are wired out of phase to achieve the noise cancellation. So when the bridge or the neck are solo’d yeah, they’ll sound very single coil. However... The combination of these two humbuckers is slightly different to combining two reverse wound reverse polarity jazz bass single coils. The cancellation thing is part of the jazz bass ‘burp’.
