Delays and setbacks at human rights tribunal

A Mississauga man who filed a discrimination complaint against a Toronto college, is highlighting what he says is a lengthy ordeal to have his story heard. Faiza Amin reports on the challenges he’s facing at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

I am currently going through this EXACT same thing, I ended up filing my self as free lawyers were no help, and good ones were extremely expensive. The Process to file is purposely obtuse, ridiculously opaque, and serves less to assist those going through discrimination, and more as a place to protect abusers from facing public justice. Absolutely shameful.

I am going through the EXACT situation. I waited for over 2yrs to have a hearing with HRTO and on the day of hearing they dismissed my case without allowing to speak accusing me that I have not filed all the arguable documents- I am escalating my case to CTV news and I will take my case and mistreatment I received from HRTO to the Supreme Court

Humber college stated this guy failed to work with them and now the human rights tribunal lawyers are saying the same thing. It sure looks like this guy is the problem

This guy needs accommodation - something these processes assure they will provide. Not so "difficult".
