Very troubling .... So initially I brought my trailer from a company called the trailer guys... I'm a novice at trailers never owned one. So of course I'm depending on the sales guy whose knowledgeable of the trailers to sell me what I'm asking and looking for... Initially I purchased a trailer from these guys with intent to haul heavy equipment I told the gentleman I didn't have a CDL and I needed to be 26k or less...He told me that the 14,000 lb axles would be perfect for what I needed I said okay didn't think anything else about it He's the expert that's it that's all... Sign of trouble was when I was moving a load to Alaska and the lighting system failed the amber lighting that comes on at night, this is where it starts to get very troubling... Me knowing that it's under warranty I called Delco and I informed them to what was going on and that I'm in Canada, they informed me that it's under warranty and I was told no problem we'll get it taken care of... Keep this in mind that Canada's dollar is 33% less than our dollar... I spoke to Philip which is the supervisor there and Courtney which is the person that's over the warranty Phillip is her direct supervisor so I'm not faulting her per se.... Philip gets on the phone with the technician that's looking over my trailer, and the technician and Phillip are going back and forth on what to look for the technician explains to Mr.Philip that he's done all the checks and he's still not found anything so he's going to continue to check the wire Mr.phillp informs him to do what he needs to do to get the customer back up running So of course as a consumer I'm feeling good because I know that my company has my back.... Well this is when it went nuclear... I decided to wait and get everything settled payment wise before I called This way I wasn't calling back and forth since I was already told that it was going to be covered... I finally get the bill from the trailer spot that was fixing my trailer which was $638 give or take which is about $420 some odd dollars US After getting the bill i called back to Delco Mr Philip informed the warranty woman not to pay... keeping in mind he doesn't know my financial situation or anything I may have not had the money I did and I paid but the point is that he put me in a very precarious position and the fact that they didn't honor the warranty like they initially said they would multiple times is even more disturbing... After I paid I informed the young lady that does the warranties how grief struck I was at the position I was put in and that it was not fair... she said the same thing and didn't think it was fair either so she offered me $90 because she felt bad according to her words verbatim I initially turned it down and she insisted so I said okay send it at least it was a good gesture and I know she was just trying to make something right.. Well left front leaf spring failed, went to Washington after repairing, the back leaf Spring failed... I called Delco again and was told it's under warranty, but then I was told I need to send in all this stuff which I had no problem with, after I sent everything they denied the warranty stating that I was carrying excessive loads so back to the trailer guys I informed Delco that I was never informed that 14k lb doesn't mean 14k and that I have to deduct the trailer weight... how would a person that doesn't know anything about trailers know that... To say the least Delco is a very underhand type of company seems to me that does everything they can to find reasons not to pay out warranties... The lesson here consumer beware....You've been warned... What's crazy is all they had to do is honor the warranty and we wouldn't be having this conversation... Just on the merit that they're wanting to be a stand-up company because I literally told them exactly what I was hauling weight and all so it wasn't like I was trying to hide anything everything was under the 14k allotted weight they didn't care smh.

Probably shouldn’t have overloaded your trailer. It’s not the manufacturer’s fault you didn’t educate yourself and it’s not the dealers responsibility to educate you either. Man up and have some self accountability.
