In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Defect. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. The gameplay in this was superb. Baalor hologrammed the Apo to upgrade a created buffer into amplifying it.

I love that Torii / Tungsten Rod interaction on heart - makes 4x multibit attacks do no damage due to Torii reducing each 4 to a 1, then TR reducing the resulting 1 to 0. I'm at 2,153 hours of STS and only just discovered this...I love that after so many hours I'm still finding new and interesting interactions.

Well, after my 11 Defect losses in a row (A11-13) it certainly does some good seeing this. I gotta say, managed to kill heart on all 4 characters on A10, but my Defect really seems to struggle on A13 :-D

i thought ascension 1 was easier for beating heart, as you get more elites -> more relics, and you're forced to build decks that require less setup

I'd rather have wounds+ go back to draw pile at the end of turn, and dazed+ cause debuff when exhausted (random debuff would be fun but too unbalanced).

I think not, because the strikes and defends for each character are different cards in the sense that their art is different, while alpha is the same card for each character.
