In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Watcher. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity...

Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/cas...

My mind was wandering at the start - I didn't see which character it was. As soon as Baalalord said he would immediately charge head long into three elites I knew it was Watcher. Only she could provide such warranted confidence.

The same day this video was uploaded I ran a run of similar silliness. Act 1 offered me 3 Talk to the Hands, 2 Tantrums, and a smiling mask. Eventually after visiting every shop I could, my final deck (which won against A20H) was 3 Tantrum+, 3 Talk to the Hand+, Inner Peace, and 3 apparitions to help get it all set up. It's rare to be able to beat the heart without taking damage at all, but that sure did it!

What's PV? But if you're asking the reason why he didn't take any damage, it's because of the fossilized helix.

@@jhn9251 Thanks for answering. Oh I see :-) Usually, relics blick when used, which was not the case with the fossilized helix in this run. And my mistake: PV = HP ... but in french (english is not my native language). Anyway, this guy is really good, I think he plays 2 games a day since the game came out

why do STS streamers seem to think the ‘Bottled X’ relics aren’t good? Always getting a good card in your initial hand is like one of the strongest things in this game.

For starters a lot of the time you just don't have anything that good to bottle; secondly even if you do, it's often worse than just getting a solid relic to further you gameplan (a clutch mummy hand, boat thing to shore up your turn 1/2/3, or even humble bag of prep.) Also outside of like goated cards like offering, adrenaline, or heatsinks or the like most cards aren't so versatile you want them on turn 1 every single fight for the rest of the run. There's just so many scenarios where they suck that you hate seeing them after a while. Sure, a run with bottled seek+ or omniscience+ is probably gonna be pretty hype, but how many runs you have those cards ready for a bottle? I know old comment, but I hope this helps.
