This video and the accompanying blog explain how to remove your information so they can't sell your data. But the real problem is that companies sell large amounts of data on a regular basis so we have to regularly purge the internet of our available data. It's frustrating.

Technology legislation favors the corporation. Until we turn that around, it will only improve incrementally.

It's not only worth it to look up your name, it's disgusting to see how little companies actually care about your privacy and security. Ad companies, big corporations, social network platforms, banking institutions, etc sell your name. To make matters worse, you practically need to create an account for every app you have or use. Which means another password needs to be recorded someplace. Its not a smart idea to use the same password for everything. It also means there's the potential for for identity theft. If you add an actual photo of yourself, you've just put a picture of you with your name, on the World Wide Web. The people that NEED to have your information (banks, jobs, law enforment) should be the ONLY ones to have your information. At one time, there was a website that would delete your name from all search engines. That was back in the early 2000's. I don't think it exists anymore, as making money by selling information and names on the web is more profitable than deleting them. But I'm going to keep looking for that option. Should I ever find it, I will post that link. Stay safe people.

There still are a few companies that continue to offer services like that, I think they realized that they had to expand upon this concept to include comment sections and reviews/ratings from popular web sites, like "Yelp" or maybe "Expedia", for instance, where any person/business could have negative or unflattering info removed/hidden from public view. This is all for a fee of course depending on which package one chose to use, such as an annual subscription or just a one time use option. I don't remember any of the company names off the cuff since it was a few years ago that I had stumbled upon them. I distinctinly remember being a bit surprised at first that such a thing existed and publicly available. Once a few minutes passed by, I realized that it only surprised me at first because I never really considered this idea as an actual possibility of having personal reviews removed from the public arena. This was also before Yt, Twitter, and Fb began shadow banning, restricting, or deleting accounts from anyone that didn't have the same viewpoints as the narratives they were pushing. Yes, these are "private",(my ass), companies but the same type of scenarios are implemented.

I got panic after seeing a video of "discord doxxing" and the commentator said "search your name on google" i go to find on yt how to delete it before search ing it on google, fortunately it never showed my information, even tho my ip got leaked 2 time

Look up "remove my info + (the site with your info)" into Google. You'll get the instructions on how to do it for each site. The video says this as does the blog linked in the caption.
