I went on a date once, and the lady was baffled she couldn't find much about me. That's intentional I mentioned. However, early vetting trust has become solidified in finding out as much as possible online, before deeply engaging more than once with them these days. The absence of that easy find, made me mysterious, at the same time, less trustworthy. Their's a price to privacy pay either way these days.

Anybody have ideas about this one? I worked at the polls (voting) in 2020, and received a small check for that. I was required to sign a receipt including my name and address. All of a sudden in 2023, that report is appearing when I google my name. It is published by the state that I live in. They refuse to adjust my address to my PO Box. I don't have a problem if someone googles Campaign Finance Report and finds the report, but I DO have a problem with someone googling my name and finding this report with my exact address. My name & address show up in the google results. I can't seem to get rid of that 1 report. (And I have somplained to the Department of Elections as well as the google site referenced in the video.) How do I delete or bury this information? I am a witness in a major crime and I don't want certain people to find me.

Hi. How do I delete personal stuff that someone else uploaded on a site without my consent? Also, I deleted a LinkedIn account yet it still pops up with a picture in search results on Google. There's no respect for our privacy rights by Google. Google should be sued into bankruptcy.

If submitting a removal form to Google fails, you could contact the website's owner directly. 👀 And LinkedIn might take some time to fully delete your data after you delete your account. They claim that "public profile may be displayed in search engine results until the search engines refresh their cache." Getting your personal data off the internet might be a frustrating and long process since many services don't make it easy for the users... But it's definitely worth it. You're on the right track! 🙏

@@Surfshark Tbh I'd like to leave some of it there. It's my very own digital footprint. Sort of like the fossilized footprints left by the dinosaurs of yore. Today they're studied by paleontologists and an object of interest. Proof that, however insignificant, a human being of my likeness once surfed the world wide web. Just as the dinosaurs once walked the world. In a similar vein, I'm not a major proponent for sanitizing history. Omitting parts that are inconvenient for me in favor of only the good. For what it's worth, I'd like to be able to look back and see all the good, the bad, and the ugly in its entirety. Deleting myself completely off the internet seems a step in the direction of sanitization. Eek! Like really. In the end, to each their own 😀

You're not wrong! Interacting with spam emails specifically could potentially lead to more spam. So, when it comes to spam - it's best to mark it as "spam" without opening the actual email. But when it comes to newsletters you subscribe to - it should be safe to unsubscribe and clean up your inbox.
