You can see that they used the color pattern from the Camp Cretaceous design. The Spino here has the really white stripes on his mouth while the upper part of the skull is red/brown. Too bad we didn’t get to see this design fully animated on screen in live action

It really is a shame that Spinosaurus wasn't in Dominion. It had it's own Jurassic logo so it's definitely next to Rexy as the icon of the franchise. I strongly believe that if Spinosaurus was in Jurassic Park instead of Tyrannosaurus, its popularity would be twice as high as anything else because of how bizarre and cool looking it was. Plus it's the biggest meat eating dinosaur and it can swim!

7:26, I think it's the 1997 Raptors mix breeding with the 2001 Raptors cause on the legs of the male it has black stripes and it has a bit of orange to so, maybe both type of Raptors either joined together to make a super pack and as a result they mixed , or they evolved like that to camouflage ,I think it's the first option cause it makes more since, but who knows maybe it's just a new Dino with similar patterns to older ones. just some theories.

My own take on the whole ordeal: Well, first off, to clarify something for everyone, why would the spino be on the mainland? Last we saw it, it (and the other carnivores we can assume) was on Malta(?) Island w/ Ben and that science lady (forgot her name) are there still running it (w/ Kenji “paying the bills” as he says). So unless we get a follow up series that goes over what went down in those 4 years before Dominion occurred, why’d they move the dinosaurs to BioSyn? Government and legal reasons? Budget reasons? For the safety of the animals cause of volcanic activity too? Was it cause of that deleted info about BioSyn having a hand in the creation of it and then just claiming ownership? Who knows? One explanation for the Spino to not wreck everything to shit in the valley like it did w/ Isla Sorna if it was to be there could be simply having to do w/ age, like Rexy, the spino is among the older dinos from the OG series (though at least younger by only a decade) still around. Also, the mind implants could null that behaviour. Actually, that could’ve been a cool plot point w/ the Rex and Giga (and other large carnivores) not immediately killing each other being that reason until the fires. Maybe it damages a tower or the group fumbling w/ power turns off the implants and leads to the lethal fight. As for the sloppy methods of containment by BioSyn at the end, it can be said that this was more a quick fix that people wanted and not perfected. Ducktape on a leaky pipe essentially. Back to the biz of the Spino, it can be played up how the two are the “old rulers” of their time, but now a newer, younger, gnarlier, kid is on the block and has dethroned them. This’d lead up to the film’s climax w/ one final showdown for title as the valley’s apex, which would go to Rexy and Spino, not a true team up, just a coincidental enemy. Both tired and worn, they see no use in furthering the quarrel and leave it at that for another day. Giga doesn’t die here, instead just hobbles off to lick their wounds.

The Spinosaurus in Camp Cretaceous used two designs, it went from a muted grey color to a Jurassic Park III type one in season 5 before going back to the grey coloring seen in the previous season. So either there are two Spinosaurs or it’s an animation/continuity error. Not to mention I remember the Jurassic Park III colored one having the original roar and then when it was grey again it had the one used in Camp Cretaceous. So I have no idea what the heck is going on.

Dinosaurs are roaming the globe in Dominion. They just weren't the _focus_ of the film, because, to be entirely blunt, there's not much a movie can do with "Dinosaurs running around in the wild." That's better suited for a TV show. Maybe in a similar vein to Primeval; A group works to bring coexistence between the dinosaurs and humans now that they've been integrated into our ecology. And Dominion was specifically said to _NOT_ be a "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" movie with the dinosaurs taking over. Like, really early on.

I would have loved to see the spino in dominion. It’s one of my favorite dinosaurs since jp3 besides the raptors. To see the spino come back and also fight alongside rexy to stop the giga would have been cool and it also would have been cool to see Dr Grant’s reaction as he got up close to the spino in jp3 and literally stalked by it too. People fr talking about how they’re upset that spino wasn’t in dominion, but c’mon, it was for marketing, plus it was an image of the spino before it was taken to mantah corp island. The island was probably not found, because everyone except for daniel kon and the main cast died. And since that woman working for biosyn died, there’s probably no way biosyn could find the island, so the spino probably would’ve spent the rest of its days there. Chaos theorem should just plainly confirm it as an unnaturally strong gene-enhanched monster a be done with it already! Its nontheless very nice that there is already some serious evidence that at least one of the characteristic that made the Spino so strong (very high aggressiveness can make a difference in a figth) seems to be indeed due to some unnatural human interference, or at least on a higer level than other "normal" cloned dinos that, apparently, have only some outward cosmetic differences from the originals. This is of course not even counting the strong implications that the spino is actually part of the amalgalm testing, wich means that it must have some level of deliberate gene tampering going beyond mere gap filling like other "regular" cloned dinosaurs. If asset 87 actually got an unnatural boost in figthing performance compared to "regular" Rexes, then the goddamn Spino Vs Rex debate stops being relevant just as with the Indominus.

I’ve had an insane headcanon for a while that the spinouaurus is a hybrid but not in the same vein as the Scorpios, Indominus and indiraptor it’s a hybrid of other spinosaured’s as in it’s mostly Spino but it’s also part suchominus, baryonix and even Irritator. Which is why it looks so different from the prehistoric Donor
