One thing I’ll never understand is IF the cut scenes only averaged out to roughly 9 extra minutes (not including the prologue), then why were they cut in general? It’s not hurting the film in any capacity to have it 10 minutes longer

That's exactly what I want to know too. 9 extra minutes isn't a lot of time to turn off audiences and people sat through Batman Vs Superman AND Titanic (albeit Titanic was good to many people it's still 3hrs and we all know what happens in the end) I really don't understand the thought process behind cutting these "14 minutes" from the theatrical release

I did not know about the new shots when they first interact with Blue. That shot of the car was in the theatrical cut, though. There’s also an additional shot if Maisie riding away from the lumber yard.

Hey Swrve, I'm not sure if your aware of this, but recently I've been monitoring the score for Jurassic World: Dominion and I've noticed that some of the positive critic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are being deleted or purposefully changed. Last I checked there were 116 fresh reviews, now there are only 113. I also noticed that certain reviews that should be marked as fresh (based on the site's logic) are being categorized as rotten (I've counted at least 5 that should be categorized as fresh). Unfortunately, it's causing the overall score for the movie to drop. Apparently similar occurrences are happening with other recent shows and movies. Negative reviews of She-Hulk are being deleted or changed to fresh (with some fresh reviews being counted more than once) to inflate the score. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it seems there's some shady things going on with that site right now, (similar to what happened with the Captain Marvel and Ghostbusters 2016 incidents). Looks like Rotten Tomatoes is sadly living up to it's name again...

Also I forgot to mention that there’s a deleted scene that was filmed and had the CGI in it with Beta that being a deleted scene where after beta Maisie escape A group of mercenaries try a hunter down but that wasn’t in the extended edition it was probably going to appear in the extended edition but it was cut out for unknown reason

this scene would have givin us some scenes of the bioson mercenaries since we really didn’t get a bunch of scenes with them unlike the ones in fallen kingdom they were just in the background doing nothing not even fighting the protagonists that’s one of my minor issues with Dominion I still think it’s a good movie

Extended edition is a great improvement over the theatrical release. So much better and makes more sense. Overall I was glad to see the prologue restored and the new scenes added to the whole film. Glad to say I own the whole franchise on digital platform.

Imagine how much better the scene with blue and the hunters would be if instead of her just running right at them, she disappears and does what a raptor does and attacks from the side, that would be scary and also a nice homage to the first. But naw, an awkward CGI run

I don't think it's incredibly better than the theatrical cut, but i do think it does some things better. Some scenes are wonky and cut differently, like the mosasaur scene. The nowthis logo over the ship did not look good and I don't like how cut down it was. The Para scene was actually quite good, and really shakes up the brooding hero that Owen usually is. Overall I must admit that at first I didn't like the extended edition all that much, but after some thought I think that I prefer it and will probably be my preferred viewing of the movie.

I loved both versions of Jurassic World Dominion but I love the extended edition way more. It make the first half of Dominion feel less choppy. Which one of the major flaws of the movie but doesn't ruin the movie for me at least. I give the theatrical cut of Dominion is a 9/10 while the extended cut is a 9.9/10 for me. But if you d didn't like the movie to begin with then you are probably not like extended edition much either and I respect your opinion on that. Just don't troll the people who do like movie Okay?

One thing I love about these last two movies is the more extreme human conflict. Movies 1 through 4 never had any humans pointing guns at each other or committing murders. Usually it’s the dinosaurs doing all the killing. Adds just a little more realism when it comes to human nature.

If you really disappointed with Dominion Brian. I don't think extended edition is going change your mind that much. I'm telling you this as someone who loved the movie and as huge fan of the Jurassic Park franchise. They only added 17 extra minutes. And most of that is Character scenes. Though the Prolouge is new beginning in the extended cut.

The Wattpad version of this shows the scene from the film but instead of Rann getting the para, it instead shows/reads that Owen has a ranch with his fellow comrades, also it shows a dinosaur ranch with Parasaurolophus, possibly Corythosaurus, Gallimimus, and Stygimoloch

What's the point of cutting out just 14 minutes in a movie that's over two hours long? I understand with something like The Lord of the Rings, which were all nearly three hours long, and so it made sense to make cuts to keep the runtime down. But I just don't get why Dominion could not have been released with these scenes in it.

No, but I’m not sure but the Wattpad version actually tells us that Corythosaurus, the Sorna Ankylosaurus, possibly Pteranodons, Mamenchisaurus, and Pachycephalosaurus being stated to be from Isla Sorna in its version instead of this and the extended edition, which makes the line with Ramsey stating that most of the Biosyn Valley animals were from Isla Sorna instead of not showing anything from Isla Sorna which makes it more wonderful, also why not put in Mamenchisaurus

I've watched Dominion at least 3 times now, including the extended edition once. I think the marketing for the movie was kind of off, as they leaned into the "dinosaurs are in our world" tagline when that played such an insignificant part of the movie's plot. When I watched it the first time, I was so disappointed with it because I wanted the story to go in a direction that it didn't. However, upon the second viewing and letting my hopes for what the movie would be go, I did enjoy it more, though I did agree it still felt a bit choppy. However after watching the extended edition, a lot of that choppiness is fixed. It doesn't really significantly add anything to the plot, but the pacing feels much better and theres more of that signature Jurassic action that I felt was lacking from the theatrical cut.
