After watching the rest of the video and your dialogue at the end reminded me that as a American that has traveled all over the states that we really do have a ton of natural diversity and for someone used to Africa would be as amazed as I would be going to Africa. We have everything from from swamps to desert and tropical paradise to some of the most dramatic weather in the mountains. The blue ridge mountains in my backyard would be a whole new world to someone not used to bear, bobcat and coyotes

I love listening to the dialogue…makes me feel that me and my shooting buddies aren’t psychos. ‘We gotta hit a pigeon with a .35 cal…..”. 😂🤣😅🥲

Matt said rules around air rifles are vague over there, to the tune and point that if you do get a license they might still simply revoke it at any time. IMO not worth the risk when .22 will let you reach out anyway.

Awesome video guys Matt you are the reason the air gun world is changing all the time because of you and a few others but mainly you, I know people have been shooting slugs way before you but in these past 6 years or so it's because of you that's way you see all these other companies making air guns that can also shoot slugs thanks buddy for your great ideas thanks for sharing be safe buddy 👍🏻

Really enjoyed the video Matt. Nice perspective on the .30 vs .35 in a hunting scenario and really apples to apples for challenges. I am inconclusive as to which I will choose but most likely the .30 as it seems to have an edge.

Would any of you guys have links to documents regarding schematics for the suppressors you use? I'm in Canadastan where all suppressors are illegal (yes, even plastic ones on Crosman 'Quiet Fire' break-barrels). When I travel to Maine (from Nova Scotia) to visit a couple of ranges, I'm going to be borrowing/renting suppressors so I'm welcome at outdoor ranges with a higher caliber hunting rifle, and of course, the FX Impact M4 I'm shopping for lately. I think I'll be going with a 30 cal, with a slug sleeve add-on. I want to be relatively quiet, but my gov't thinks I'm out there hunting Jason Bourne when all I want to do is be a good neighbor.... This channel has been fantastic in helping me realize just how well PCP are almost replacing the rimfires here. Will be great to finally replace my annoying break-barrels.

What's your opinion? I decided to go with the 25 caliber air rifle 1100 FPS I think around 80 FPE. I'm going to most likely change the barrel to a barrel that is set up for Slugs. In terms accuracy and energy/penetrating power is there a not a happy medium in terms of caliber and slug choice? This is an accuracy lethality question. Have you concluded what your favorite caliber is overall in terms of accuracy and long distance penetrating/energy FPE at 100 yd to 200 yd plus? If for example you are shooting long distances say 200 yards plus at 3/4 inches of pine wood which is considered the standard, perhaps a 25 caliber slug will be more accurate and consistent at these distances as compared to a 30 and 35 caliber slug because of the higher weight of the larger slugs causung a higher drop off angle and more of a loss of enegy as compared to a 25 caliber slug?

Wrong or right i’m purchasing an FX Impact mark three 600 mm barrel, harmonic balancer with slug power kit and STX barrel for slugs. In terms of accuracy at long distances like 200 yards or 300 plus yards do you think that I should have purchased a 25 caliber or the 30 caliber? I also want the most energy possible at the target, (I like to do penetration tests) but Short distances yes, but I’m not sure if at long distances if the 30 caliber is going to have more energy or lesser energy than a 25 caliber?

Why don't you wait for that chuck to turn fully around so you can shoot it in the back? lol Just kidding! Nice to see what those rifles can do. Can't believe the power & accuracy of the latest equipment. Thanks for the demo. I think that I'm going to try my hand at some hunting & target fun but 1st I need a good rifle. What would you recommend? I had firearms before but got rid of them. Now I got the itch again but want something like what you're using. By the way, can you buy a mold to make or recycle your own pellets & what style pellet would you find the best? Thank you!

I saw Rick at Shooter 1721 shoot a 22 caliber FX impact and it penetrated 3/4 in of wood at 400 yds. I'm going to purchase a FX impact Mark 3 with a 600 mm Barrel, slug power kit and FTX Barrel. The question I have is will this 30 cal be as accurate and also be able to penetrate 3/4 inches of wood at 400 yd or is the slug going to be too heavy and lose too much energy at that distance?
