Atleast,that is not what my sister thinks, she lived in jaipur for 18 years then went to NID Ahmedabad where she found the city to be dead and the city food not that interesting to eat and expensive at the same time.

I am Gujrati from Maharashtra and I can definitely say Aamras and Puri is one of the best combo out there. You can find it even in restaurants here they call it "Aamras puri"

@@OrewaPein 😂Gujarat is basically Amdavad -Vadodara -Surat belt since 10th century and yes kathiyawadi food is not Gujarati food you will rarely find locho, undhiyu, umbadiyu, tuver na thota, sev usal, ragda khaman, panki, bhakarwadi, vedmi, lilva kachori in kathiyawad and along with it it's rare to find bhungla bateka, lasaniya bateka nu saak, bajra no rotla ne olo, ghughra, bhaji cone, dryfruit kachori,khajli etc in Gujarat unless a kathiyawadi person sells it , Being from kathiyawad living in South Gujarat I can know the difference in taste and food, we are Gujaratis by language but our cuisine has different identity almost everywhere you will find written kathiyawadi dhaba instead of Gujarati dhaba, but you will find Gujarati farsan shops not kathiyawadi (in name of shape) farsan shops
