Delhi Mumbai Expressway Jaipur Update

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a 1,350 km long, 8-lane wide (expandable to 12-lane) under-construction (partially operational) access-controlled expressway connecting India's national capital New Delhi to its financial capital Mumbai.[5][6][7][8] The foundation stone for the project was laid by union minister Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley on 8 March 2019.[9] The total project value including the land acquisition cost is around ₹1,00,000 crores (~US$13.1 billion).[10] An additional 31 km long spur will also be constructed by the NHAI from Noida International Airport in Jewar to Sector-65, Faridabad on this expressway (DND-KMP Expressway).-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

​@salesguy580 bro read first yaar no body is biased we can't be coz we have to reduce our logistics cost .Karnataka and all south Indian states are coastal states while the north is not, so we have a high-speed road network to save our time and energy. Moreover, in nortn traffic is huge because of over population. IF WE need in future we can expand that's why space for 2 extra lane is left on every highway or expressways.

They will add lanes on the sides not in the middle and if they do, they will do just 1 lane in the middle and I don’t think there would be a need of expansion of more than 8 lanes. Only in selected areas there would be a need of expansions.
