Western express highway is choked with traffic from Bandra to Borivali. Can you use your drone to suggest and alternate new route (making use of tunnels & bridges) to decongest WEH. Coastal road is already planned but there has to be another road in the interior part

Why Maharashtra never been proactive in supporting central projects... In entire Maharashtra just Samruddhi Mahamarg and Mumbai to Pune expressways are there and in terms of National highways, there are just 2-3 highways... State Highway conditions are pathetic... How come Maharashtra people say that Thakre Ji led govt was developing the state... All the current projects, near Mumbai are very recent, probably inaugurated by Thakre sir but speeded up quite recently... I urge people to read this with neutral aspects and ask these questions to yourselves rather than blasting me in comments...

Because central projects many times are not useful to maharashtra in any way. The Delhi Mumbai expressway is not properly connected to Mumbai or Delhi...so it is basically useful for whom ? Why anyone will go to virar from aurangabad, nashik or kolhapur? Virar is very far from main Mumbai city. Same way with the bullet train and even samruddhi. Samruddhi starts in thane, and is not connected to pune properly. So it is not getting that much traffic. How useful is it after spending rs 50,000 crores? Coming to uddhav thakre, most of the current projects were going on in their tenure. Their time went mostly in handling covid 19.

@@vikasprakashjoshi2090 you definitely don't know about geography and the overall connectivity coming across Mumbai... Obviously it'll take time... Delhi is in the Northern part of India... The central project will connect you from that angle itself... To penetrate the problem that you have highlighted the Govt is creating an outer ring road around Mumbai... Atal Setu from shiwri-nahava, Panvel to Bhiwandi via Badlapur, Bhiwandi to Vasai Virar, Virar to south Bombay (the coastal road) and the tunnel connecting back to Atal Setu... This is a very ambitious project and many of the portions were proposed back in the 1970s which were never brought into effect by the local or central govt back then. Now it needs a sped up feuling by local Govt and builders... Central can't achieve such a thing without local support...

Lund mere. Maharashtra ka hilly terrain hai. It's easy to build a highway in the northern states. But Western ghats make it many times harder to build using viaducts, bridges, and tunnels.
