Im from Delhi and I'm 22. I have been to Tamil Nadu like 7-8 times in my childhood. Most of my family trips were to the pilgrimages of Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram and Madurai. I have never been so much taken aback by a place. Everything the culture the food the temples the people there everything was so perfect in itself. I have always felt an emotional connect with Tamil Nadu and the people of Tamil Nadu. Whenever I have been in Tamil Nadu, I felt like I'm in my second home. I tried learning Tamil as a child but couldn't do much. But my father learnt Tamil and Telugu and is fluent in both despite being from UP. He always told me that if you want to know about land then Learn their language and eat their food. He is 67 and travels to Tirupathi (AP) and Madurai every year (last year he avoided due to COVID). May Lord Shiva eternally bless our land of Murugan and Thiruvalluvar. The purest of pure lands where Sanatan Dharma, the true essence of Bharat has eternally flourished ❤️🙏

+ Bunts05 Well, she's not parting her lips when she's chewing her food, which is considered to be a courteous-practice in the WESTERN WORLD. It is NOT a standard practice in Indian culture. Further, she is shaking hands with a man -- also NOT an inherent aspect of "Indian culture'. Also, why bring her attire into the picture? Firstly, it is irrelevant; secondly, one could criticise that she is "copying a non-Tamil culture" by wearing a salwar-kameez (that too, without a dhupatta -- OMG!!). *Her affability and knowledge are far more important.*

I would say it is only 10% of what we can have in Madurai. Pongal alone, Madurai has so many varieties, to name few, Ven Pongal, Lemon Pongal, thakkali (tomato) pongal, Thenga (coconut) Pongal, Sweet Pongal. And for Non-veg lovers Madurai is the heaven, you get amsavalli biriyani, ambur biriyani, Nellai Biriyani, Konar kadai Kari Dosai, Konar kadai special soup, Pepper roast parotta , Chicken Nattu Kozhi Pepper the list goes on and on. No idea how long the KFC and that kind of fried chicken outlets are going to survive in Madurai.
