@kn32174 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand why was it raised in Nepal ? There are more Tibetan refugees in India than in Nepal! Tibetan immigrant were selling Momo in there small stall! But it really became a mainstream dish when Delhi university students and others in urban areas got hooked on it coz of its cheap price and flavor!
@SuperLoomba4 жыл бұрын
That is absolute horseshit. Momo was born and raised in Nepal not Tibet. There is no such thing as Momo in Tibet. Obviously there are all sorts of dumplings all over Asia but Momo was born in Nepal, raised in Nepal and then spread all over.

Narayan Dai ko momo is my favorite place to eat momo. I always go to that restaurant whenever I’m near Gausala. When this place was opened it served momo NRS 2 per plate but of course things get expensive time to time. It is a family run business. The owner Narayan Dai died 22 years ago I guess but now this place is being operated by his wife and his children. My grandfather and father used to eat momo there as well. So the taste is still same as my grandfather and my father said “Absolutely great”. Even my grandfather was friend with Narayan Dai.

@theusualsuspect90763 жыл бұрын
I am from janakpur. Bigger Janakimandir is in janakpur, no doubt. But mata sita was literally born in sitamarhi, bihar, India. I know my nepalese friends will be upset by this. But u can't change the fact. Yes, our janakpur is a pilgrim place and popular. But the credit that we take as birthplace of goddess Sita is very wrong. There is janaki temple in sitamarhi too... And there is proper evidence in literature, of birth of goddess sita in sitamarhi. I too was shocked for the first time. The more I researched, I came to this conclusion...
