I think this is hottest track since the lost boy era. But thats kinda troublesome. This should be his floor not his recent ceiling. He pulled a joey badass and took too long of a break and his pen waned, he had to spend years dropping tracks just to get back to where he used to be pen game wise. So technically hes stagnanted , he hasnt gotten any better since the lost boy, which is unfortunate. I hope this tracks quality and his recent quantity is a sign that hes growing again as an artist. For christs sake mgk bodied him in that freestyle they did together. And i get mgk is actually a pretty good rapper. But he was doing his punk shit and took a break from hip hop just like cordae did, so no excuses. And when i say bodied i mean bodied, cordae actually unironically said "im cold like antartica/the artic" on the track like it was a hard bar. "Im cold like a cold place" wow well done cordae. And it's not like the bar was part of some complex rhyme scheme so he just threw it in as a filler bar so it would rhyme but still have some modicum of wordplay. Nope!! He was doing simple flows and rhymes so no excuse for an "I'm fly like a bird" looking ass bar in 2023 (when it released) I really hope this track is his new floor.
