Best practices would dictate that you do all of your spirals, then all of the hearts and then cut for your length that way you build up muscle memory and your links would look more symmetrical. JMO Have a great day Cheryl.
@cherylst.pierre31485 жыл бұрын
That would be one way of doing it, not sure I would call it best practice, more assembly line style. I find doing things that way to take the enjoyment out of creating, however saying this I know not everyone is like me. To tell you the truth, even doing things that way will still have variation of sizes.. as we are just human. Thank you for your input.

Beautiful work, I made some of the hearts, then tried it with tight spirals, turned out fabulous. I like my bracelets loose where they slide up and down my arm and I hate it when they roll over and the bottom side is showing. I found that if you make a tiny downward bend between the bead and the heart on each link, the hearts stay facing up every time. Keep sharing!

How long is each piece of wire you use to make each beaded link?
@cherylst.pierre3148 Жыл бұрын
As I try to explain in the video is you use working wire.. so what that means is you take a long piece of wire and work off of it and only use as much as needed. this saves wire. When you cut off the link you finished you use the same wire to start making the next link.
@joselynsphar19055 жыл бұрын
Happy Anniversary! Hope it was a good one. Thank you for sharing! I too love watching your videos! Would it look okay with all wire wrapped loops?
@cherylst.pierre31485 жыл бұрын
Thank you, you obviously saw me on facebook. With wrapped loops it will take on a different look and the links will be larger, so it wont be as adjustable for length. However if you decide to do a wrapped loop, to keep the balance I would use a 6mm round bead.
@amandagermany59333 жыл бұрын
I can't count how many times I've had to snip and restart. That's just the way wire goes.

Wondering if you had just round nosed pliers instead of your chain nosed pliers what was flat on one side, you wouldn't have had so much trouble making the swirl that you were trying to create. It really IS important to use the proper pliers for specific jobs. The bracelet is really lovely....personally, I would have either "antiqued" the wire/bracelet with liver of sulfur before making it...although the clasp will eventually "tarnish", it will take a while and in the meantime, the clasp and bracelet wire doesn't match. I also thing the lobster claw clasp you used was much too large for the bracelet. I have recently discovered magnetic clasps in Sterling and also pure copper and they are amazing, and make putting on a bracelet SO much easier...the same for necklaces...If I don't purposely want my clasp ornate or really fancy, I usually use the magnetic ones...they are amazingly strong.

Instead of measuring the card stock, why don't you just measure the bracelet?
@cherylst.pierre3148 Жыл бұрын
I would like you to do an experiment. Measure the length of a bracelet with beads. then use the card stock measuring system. They will have completely different lengths. You see the beads displace space in the center of the bracelet and affect the size of wrist it will fit greatly. If you are making a bracelet for yourself no biggy, you can fix it. However if you are selling it and the customer receives a bracelet that doesn't fit, you end up with an unhappy customer.
