Hi Jo, because of arthritis getting worse in my hands and elbow I had to give up working with polymer clay, I love creating fairy, dragons etc.. and feeling deflated lost my crafty mojo, so I turned to papercraft as a substitute and while enjoying it I felt I was missing my mystical creatures... until now! when I came across lavinia stamps and your tutorials.. Thank you for lifting my spirits and giving me my mojo back! I love your artwork its truly inspiring..ive now ordered a stack of stamps for my stash.. even if it does bankrupt the purse lol... Gorgeous card! It’s a beautiful sentiment but not one that would work in Australia in place of a Christmas sentiment as it’s our summer. I’m sooo glad to hear that you are starting to feel better & that you didn’t give up crafting. You were missed. I hope you recover soon
@laurie38814 жыл бұрын
You could try a soft green instead of the grey/silver background - would that work better for Christmas colours?
@TinyStitches13 жыл бұрын
@@laurie3881 The colours are fine, its the sentiment we would need to change, as Leanne said, Christmas for us down here is in the middle of summer - mentioning winds of winter doesn't really work - same as all the Christmas cards we get with snow - the LAST thing we see at Christmas is snow!
@laurie38813 жыл бұрын
@@TinyStitches1 I understand - it's difficult for us in the northern hemisphere to remember it is different for you. We could be more sensitive to what works there.
@TinyStitches13 жыл бұрын
@@laurie3881 it goes both ways! So many stamps and sentiments available don't work or apply here, but what works here may not work elsewhere also. Like Santa in shorts, sunblock and flip flops!

Hello, Jo. I am Louise from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and have been loving your videos. Your voice is so soothing and you make your instructions so easy to follow. I have been card making for years and am amazed at the wealth of new techniques, inks and stencils and stamps. I want them all ! Today I watched your tutorial on using one colour of Distress Oxide ( weathered wood ) to do the Meadow Mushroom surrounded by a wreath and I am going right now to my craft room to try to reproduce it. By the way, I had to chuckle when you spoke of having “a brew and cheeky biscuit”. Around here, having a brew means a beer not a coffee ! I shall refrain from the beer and enjoy my second coffee of the day as I work on my project. Stay well . Best regards, Louise
