IMO this video is an important part of the Delicate Steve canon... it captures the early D.Steve era when D.Steve presented more as a "band," notably the contributions of Christian Peslak and his secondary guitar licks and backing vocals - two things that really defined the "early" D.Steve sound (together with, of course, Steve's driving guitar verses duh). I don't know why Peslak and Steve didn't carry on making music... they seemed to have a thing going on and if you listen to some of Peslak's other work he's a really good singer so, in some alternate universe one could imagine D.Steve having evolved into a more radio-friendly rock group. But oh well, the way Steve took it was/is great too! Love Steve's commitment to the "guitar as singer" concept, and his more recent stuff IMO has a more "timeless" sound compared to the earlier stuff, so maybe we wouldn't have gotten these timeless bangers if Peslak was still around... we'll never know, and that's the fun!

love when the piano player makes a sour-sounding note and Steve glares at him

I wonder if he went Buddy Rich on him after the show? "I'm working my ass off and all you can do is play clams"!
