That last scene made me cry because I can relate. For years I was practically homeless and lived off scraps, some meals just being water and discarded bread. Then one day a nice person treated me to a meal and even though it was a normal meal for anyone else, to me it was the best feast I ever had in my life. I'm living a normal life now but I will never forget that meal.

I almost cried because at one point in time all I could do was eat the smallest amount so my son and husband ate good meals. My husband worked a lot so he needed it for his constant walking, and my Son is still younger so he needs every last bit of nutrients. I never once complained over it because its my role as a mother to make sure her family is happy. The first time in long awhile we got to eat a big meal; I wanted to cry because it tasted so good and I had eaten so little in weeks. We were so poor and I felt so guilty if I had more than I thought I deserved. I still do sometimes. That feeling has never left me. Idk if this is a good or bad thing

Chair Man thank you for your concern. That was about a year ago. Since then, we had moved back with my family for a bit, I’ve become obsessed with saving every penny, alternatives to everyday expenses, my husband has since found a new job with provided schooling from his company. we’re comfortable. Not super rich but we’re not in the place where we were before. It’s all apart of growing, we make mistakes or don’t learn the proper way of saving, or differentiate between a need and a want, and also being able to shoot for something than just the bar minimum. We’re coming out okay. :)

I am a Korean chef who has worked in Osaka for many years, in a Chinese-Japanese restraunt (ramen, chahan, kanitama, mapo tofu etc) and I have to say, though I do not watch anime it makes me glad that they capture just how special food can make people feel. For the last girl in the compilation, who cried over the food, actually a friend of mine was in a similar situation (as in cried over food). So, basically, we were taking a psychology summer camp course, and they were teaching us about the senses and how they could be tampered with. There's a thing called a miracle berry, which can make anything sour (i.e lemons and grapefruits) taste sweet. I tried it before in elementary school, so I thought it was something everyone had tried at least once before, but apparently this friend I made during that camp had never tried it before. When she finally did, she started crying. I was worried about her, wondering if the sourness hurt her or something, so I asked her what was wrong. She told me, through tears, that she was just moved by how sweet the miracle berry made the lemon taste. I was shocked that she's never tried it before, and even more shocked that she was moved to the point of tears that lemons could taste so sweet. She ate several slices of lemon and grapefruit after that, kept eating them until either they ran out or the berry wore off XD I will never forget that moment. I wish I could meet her again ;-; We never got into contact after that, and I really wish I could talk to her again...

last scene hit me real hard! for years mum was a single mother before finding the right guy. she used to work a 9-5 job with 6 hours on the road to her work everyday. i had either instant noodles or fried rice once or twice daily. i was left home alone until mum comes home at the age of 10 until 14. this doesnt sound as bad but it still is bad, especially seeing my mum tired and never well rested. she’ll sleep for 40 hours during the weekend bcz of how tiring it was. i’ll pray for those who r in need, i am very grateful for my life now even during this pandemic
