They are feared as "that grade" by teachers though, and the older kids thought I was adorable, and younger kids didn't mind me. The teachers seemed to veiw me as "the only angel in hell" along with a few other kids from what I can remember, there was like only 4 kids that where like this, my best friend, my bff's future friend, and a kid I sat next to in third grade. All of us where bullied by the grade. If only I wasn't held back... I'm really glad I'm homeschooled.

It's only at rewatching you realize these things people take for granted, are immensely precious to her, thus her abnormal enthusiasm. Oreki, thru the series, gets to become the person who understands her. He is also aware about the seriousness of the situation if they ever want to be together. Oreki must work real hard for Eru family to accept him. Anime leave things with open-ending. While Eru admires her brave uncle-in-exile, she confirmed she will never leave the town. Now you realize perpeptual helplessness of youth in face of the cruelty of real world, you likely let out a silent scream like Jun Sekitani (originator of 1960s incident) did years ago. Kyoto Animation took up this serious gem of a project. My most sincere condolences and wishes on 18th July, for the most dreadful incident in Anime history.
