Have you ever zested the lemon before squeezing the juice and added that at the end? That bumps up the lemon flavor and scent a ton. Just an option if you can’t get enough lemon into it with juice alone 😂. Thank you for this video.

Hi. Omg i made mlukeha (fresh from local Arabic farmer) today lol. With lamb shank. Love your presentation. ❤ I do add fresh tomatoes but hate cilantro but keep my leaves basically whole.

I swear I could eat either version every day. I absolutely LOVE the leafy "shami" version you make, but have never made it! I had a neighbor who was from Syria and made the leafy version but see would buy fresh leaves and wash them and dry them in the sun and and and...Is it really that much work? (worth it if it is dont get me wrong!) or was she just extensive? That with some vermacelli rice and lemon, chef's kiss!! I've never had any version with lamb wow I bet it's super flavorful!!! Adding to the list!

It's labour intensive to be sure. Bought by the lb. We all sit around chatting picking the leaves for hours. Just 1 day, many hands. Next year they will provide it all ready "plucked". More expensive but a time saver for sure lol. I also use the frozen one in a pinch. A squirt of lemon juice takes away the slimy texture. Omg I love discussing cooking with you. Sahtain💕

Don't think this one would be for me due to the fact that I don't even like okra because of the sliminess but I would like to know if something like this could be made with spinach
@SaudiFoodinEnglish5 ай бұрын
Ha! The texture definitely isn't for everyone! But doing it with spinach sounds yummy too. Either I'm just hungry, or you just invented something here!
