Broke british uni student here - made these and loved them, super cheap too! Only thing is that chicken mince is fairly hard to find here, I had to look in three supermarkets to find it! Turkey mince was super common, so next time I might just substitute the two - which is odd as Turkey meat is super uncommon but we eat chicken all the time. I added some oregano to it, and had some gravy on them (probably a massive sin to Russians xD) with mash potato.

Here is what I did. 1/2 Recipe compared to Maria's 1/2 lb extra firm tofu, drained and remaining water squeezed out 1/2 lb sourdough bread, crusts removed Unsweetened plain soy milk (used enough to match consistency of the mashed bread) Replace the egg with Ener-G Egg Replacer as directed on box Same spices, same overall process, just fried for a bit longer and uncovered to get the outside nice and crisp, and also formed thinner patties so the inside isn't mushy. Thank's a ton for the recipe and video, Maria!

Trying to fall asleep to this but I wanted to ask, what other vegetables would you suggest using in the salad? I'm trying to get in the habit of eating fruit and veggies according to what's in season.

I feel you! 💓 I'd suggest adding slightly steamed broccoli, fresh peas, sliced carrots and may be substitute couscous for quinoa to make a protein and vitamin punch! Good for you for implementing fresh food in! 🤗

I could listen to you rip crust off that bread and squish it with the milk for hours as long as every now and then we get an intermission of you saying "couscous" over top of the couscous actually cooking. I'd be in tingle heaven! Still one of my favorite all time videos Still watch it several nights a week:)

I love Maria because she posts EXACTLY every week and if she posts in Russian and English, she posts the day after. For example, her ear relaxation video was posted exactly 2 weeks ago, 14 days. Then her English space mission video was posted exactly a week ago, 7 days, and her Russian space mission video was posted 6 days ago. Wow, Maria. You post the perfect concepts, at the perfect times, on the perfect days! Im about to go to sleep so this was perfect. But now I’m in the mood for a midnight snack :/ 😂
