Neon Grave is about Rory’s father who passed away and his desire for heaven and earth to collide so he can see him again. Dayseeker featured heavily in my Spotify wrapped as well, so much so that I had a video from Rory thanking me for being one of their top listeners. Along with Vessel and Noah Sebastian, Rory Rodriguez is one of the best singers that I have heard. I hope you check out some more Dayseeker songs like Sleep Talk, Without Me and Crying While You’re Dancing

Total banger of a tune. Been meaning to listen to these guys more lately. Everything I’ve heard from them is rock solid. And I’ve seen some live videos as well and they’re really tight. Definitely one to watch out for. I think these guys are gonna be big.

My wife got me into them-- they are really interesting cuz they ride a line between metal core and synth wave with poppy hooks and it just works for me. This song is about the loss of his father, I believe. They have a song at the end of their latest album that is about his newborn daughter that, as a parent of two myself WRECKED me.

Oh damn! As a father of 2 young daughters I’m now nervous about listening to that one lest I melt into a puddle myself 👀

@@SteveOGRock The song is called Afterglow (Hazels Song). I'm on the road a lot for work too so I'm sure that makes the song hit harder too. I have two girls too! 🤘

i called bs on someone claiming he's just as good live as he is on the studio recordings until i saw them live this fall, what a great band. put on a great show with silent planet, a definite must-see band

Dayseeker and Spiritbox are the two bands that really got me into modern metal, can’t wait to see you check out Dayseeker’s stuff! Be sure to give their older music a listen too, very few people upload reactions to it even though there’s some incredible songs.

Rory is one of the best vocalists in the metal-ish scene. I absolutely love Dayseeker. The entire Sleeptalk and Dark Sun albums especially. Dark Sun is a much softer sound because it's mostly about his grief over his father's death (that's his dad at the end of the video). Sleeptalk is definitely the best heavier album. Crash and Burn is my favorite track. It starts off soft but then builds and builds and has an incredible, super heavy breakdown.

Dayseeker write such powerful songs and addictive choruses! Sidenote: I really appreciate the way you embrace alot of different genres and artists and acknowledge their craft. I enjoy your insights and remarks way more as a result of it. There is way too many gems out there to write them off simply because they’re not metal with drop Z tuning or that they are popular.
