Easily one of the best narrative not a podcast on KZbin, the first minute was pure poetry, the rest interesting and informative.

Well done George on Dartmoor. Mushrooms are tricky buissness but are delicious woodland food. I love chicken of the wood a great amount hear. Good video well made 👍🏻

Found a monster Chicken of the Woods up there last year!
@welcome2thewoodsuk Жыл бұрын
@thedartmoorpodcast hopefully it wasn't a real monster chicken. We don't need that on Dartmoor aswell. Great knowledge on the mushrooms 🍄 though mate not everyone knows about them. Even the best of us can get poisend. I read a book by lofty wiseman on wild edibles years ago I was about 13 lol. I've not died yet lol unless they find me up a tree 😉. Keep up the good educational humour mate 👍🏻 good videoes

Hi George. I was recommended your not podcast the other day and now I’ve binged nearly all of them. I especially enjoyed the humour in this one. Keep up the good work; it’s very much appreciated.

If you'd ever worked in the food industry you'd be terrified to eat anything that HAS come from Tesco:)

You can tell it's mushroom season on Dartmoor when lot's of young people are wondering around like Zombies looking at the ground instead of their phones.

And not just the young people - I saw all ages out sheepishly filling carrier bags last weekend!

Good work as always. Squirrel behaviour is more interesting lately. They do follow you and they increasingly make bizarre bird-like noises.

Ah! I'd forgot we talked about squirrels - maybe the idea seeped into my brain subconsciously from there!

Wonderful and funny video, i'm an keen forager and fungi enthusiasts, and was interested to know where you found the Liberty caps, as I would very much like to photograph them. Thanks Rambles
@thedartmoorpodcastАй бұрын
Excellent idea! These were found up near Hunter's Tor above Lustleigh Cleave, but if you want to make sure you find lots and lots of them to take loads of photos, then I suggest the area around Nun's Cross Farm and Eylesbarrow Tin Mines.

Thank you so much! Yes, Ideally I'd love to take lots of photo's. Really enjoying watching your videos, really inspiring and motivational. Will you be going to the Right to Ramble rally in Sunday?
