@@equuleus9970 It is way more symbolic and the issue for Russia will be to import high tech parts as chips and other advanced products they are not capable of making them self. Basically the attempt to build a counter Aviation industry is dead for example. Now the impact is limited because of the short time. But 2-5 years from now the Russian economy which was not competitive before won’t be competitive at all. Also it will be heavily reliant on China. Interesting how history seems be going the opposite direction here, compared to Latin American countries where local businesses get wiped out by this fast food giant brands like McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Starbucks, etc. I remember there was a local hamburger place, it was great but then the TLCAN came in and it ruined things for everyone that worked there. The McDonalds and Bkings came and they couldn't compete with their prices. Support local businesses and try to avoid as much as possible the multinational brands.

I know exactly what you mean. We used to have this local chicken shop and pizza place that served amazing fried chicken and pizza that was completely obliterated by McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut during the late 90s. I still remember how tasty the food was. Not greasy at all unlike anything coming from USA. Looking back I really feel bad for these local chains and their employees.
