That looks really amazing! My dad was a deep sea fisherman. He used to cook swordfish and tuna on the fire. It was so good. I miss him. Lots of love and blessings to you and your family. 🌻🌻🌻

My granddad was a farmer, baker and fisherman, on the west coast of norway. Every summer when we where visting there, we went out fishing in the morning and came home @ maybe 3-4pm and started preparing dinner. We made everything out on the beach and granddad had a huge garden with alsorts of herbs and veggies, from the beach we picked kelps and stuff. The memory that sticks out the most, is the eagles that nested as our closest neighbour. I woke every morning early just to hear and watch the eagles catch fish from ocean just 50 to 100 meters away from our house there. When we made food outside, as we did almost everyday, we gave the scraps to the eagles, because they landed not far away from us.They never landed so close, so we could handfeed them, but still close enough:))))) Happy childhood memories😀

When visiting granddad, it was simple life with hard work, but it also gave you the appreciation of what you put into it you also take away from it. So the essentials of what my dad tought me, was never to turn your away from even strangers, it might be something to learn from that person. So if you Norberto, came and saw my dad outside and started talking, he would've talked to you as a new friend.

@@layabala I agree with you. I love watching him cook. He always replies to my comments. He at least gives effort to reply, so many KZbinrs don’t reply but will beg for money to “support” their channels. I love what he does for the children and others in his village. He shares meat after butchering a cow or sheep. With the good he does, I hope he’s making a lot of money from KZbin. I’ve seen him do so much good for his village and the children. I think it was a year or two ago that the war stopped where he lives. I believe he said it went on fire 27 years. He made a video about it, I think it was this past November or the year before. I do believe he made the video in November. I feel for the most part, people don’t get upset that he doesn’t make long replies. I really enjoy seeing the joy he has when he’s cooking. Seeing how happy the children are when they come to eat. I wonder if some of the children have lost their fathers in the war. I can’t imagine how awful it would be living like that for so long. He showed footage of a town that was destroyed because of the war. People lost their homes. He’s a good man, selfless, always puts others first. 🙏🏼❤️

When I was a child, my father and my uncle took me Muskee fishing. I hooked a fish, had about an hour fight with it, all to realize it was a sturgeon when I reeled it in. Great memories! Awesome fish!

That's what I admire about them . They eat their foods straight from the field to the table. No processed or GMO foods . Too me the old Traditional Countries have the best Lifestyles for healthy living. Would have loved to be born there. Now the diet I was raised on lead me to being diagnosed with High Blood Pressure and Type 2 Diabetes.

Way better than salmon and so expensive. They can only be found in Caspian Sea. Their caviar are the most expensive in the world after Beluga fish.

Sturgeon is next level delicious. I have had lots of different kinds of fish but I dont know how to compare it to others. There are a couple cartilaginous bits to avoid, as those parts don't feel very good to chew. When it was legal to catch 3 ft sturgeon in the Columbia River in Oregon, my dad caught one and we had a special dinner with some family members. It must have been in the early 2000s... My favorite way he made the sturgeon was cut into 2 inch chunks, dipped in an egg batter and deep fried, but it was also delicious cooked Norwegian style- fillets dipped in a dill/mayonnaise/mustard mixture and broiled. He also cooked some of it in a pan with butter and sauteed onions and mushrooms. It was a big fish! But nowhere near the ancient ones that live in their own tank at the cascade locks. If you ever make it to Oregon, they are worth seeing. The Columbia River area will be opening up catch and keep sturgeon fishing for the upcoming season. Im sure it will add an additional fee to the regular license but it might just be worth it for the experience!

Personal experience: work in a seafood based restaurant with other non-fish based foods. The longer you're around it, even if you aren't eating it, you desensitize to not liking it. I worked in a sushi restaurant for a few years and now I can sort of eat fish despite still not really liking it most ways (I can do sushi, fried, or small pieces of salmon)

I wish I could cook like you, there's something about open wood flame that makes everything taste so good. Like cooking onions or bacon, just smells so good
