Why is there a hole in the middle? This is the correct colour for Malva Pudding, deliciously brown. Divine, thank you ❤.

Morning, to be honest with you, I have no idea. All the years I've been making the recipe, that's how it looks, and all the sauce properly seeps into that hollow in the middle 😀. You can go ahead and make it, trust me, it's delicious! Thank you for your comment.

Hi, the white sauce on top is standard custard powerder about 4 heaped tablespoons mixed with a liter of milk and thicken on the stove over low heat. Enjoy!
