Marukame is my favorite noodle meal. period! I have had it in multiple countries and its amazing how consistent the service and food quality is. My fav is just plain udon with plain soup (i add dasi sauce to suit) + chicken breast + veggie tempura!
Oh my gosh! That looks so bomb! I wish to visit Japan one day to eat all the delicious food I could find. I can't wait for that video Ryosuke! I want to try and make udon like udon master Ryosuke. 😂

I love the Marugameseimen chain! Never had a bad or even bland meal whenever I went there and it's so cheap! I would always go a bit overboard with the free tempura bit's, but they just tasted so good on the udon! I miss it T^T

I have been trying new ideas, doing a bit of grocery shopping in the international market, since seeing some meals ideas you show. After cooking the same basic types of foods for my family for over 20 years, I was seeking to mix it up. Some have been recipes I searched from seeing your meals, some self-invented ideas thrown together from ingredients you show, but it has been fun to introduce the kids to some many different foods..

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but the egg which was crunchy on the outside... is kinda like the Scotch Eggs we have in the UK... we also have meat around the egg and then crunchy/crispy bits on the outside. I love the food videos you post because it makes me think about food on a broader scale with my plans to eventually visit Japan ✌

I have never seen a tempura egg before!!! OMG, that looks amazing! How have I missed tempura eggs?
@lisanguyen63248 жыл бұрын
It might require freezing the egg in order to make it. You can't exactly bread a raw egg, nor have runny yolk once it's soft-boiled.
@suziebarlette1158 жыл бұрын
You would have to boil the egg for 2-3 min in boiling water, just so the outside cooks a little. And then carefully peel it. Bread and then fry in hot oil. I would suggest checking out the fried egg recipe from Byron Talbott. It's really easy, and it works!
@lisanguyen63248 жыл бұрын
+Suzie Barlette wouldn't that still cook the inside too much? You're still looking for a half cook yolk and crispy breading.
@suziebarlette1158 жыл бұрын
Check out Byron's video. The yolk does cook some, but enough is still runny.

oooooh looks so delicious!! I love udon noodles, although I've never had the "real thing" from Japan. I bet they're even better. But I was shocked by the raw egg! I've never seen/heard of eating raw eggs before. As a kid I was always told not to eat the uncooked cookie dough because the raw eggs would make you sick... although, now that I think about it, I didn't always listen to those warnings, and it always turned out ok ;) :D
