Lancome Idole Aura Review (2021) | Hit or Miss?

I love Aura. To me it is very buttery, like Shea butter, sweet and a little bit musky

I love this fragrance. I was worried that it would be all musky on my skin but I have never smelled that on my skin. I don't like musk at all. When I first sprayed I smell the Bergamot and the centifolia rose smell. When it starts to dry down I smell the white jasmine and the salted vanilla. I love this scent it's not overpowering on me. I have allergies and asthma and it has not bothered me at all. This is a winner for me.

I loved it when it was initially sprayed on me in the shop so I bought it. The bottle is very thin and elegant, the 25ml ideal for traveling. Unfortunately when I started using it I do not like it, it doesn't leave a nice and clean aura on me, nobody else can smell it and myself I have the feeling of a sweet sweating smell on my clothes, unless I mix it with a Thierry Mugler Angel or muse then it gives an interesting aura

I love it on the card...I get a lot of rose and vanilla with a vague idea of salt and a musk base. BUT on my skin, it turns into an almost sour, lightly salted vanilla candle.

Thanks for this video :))) I had a few samples of idole original and used for a while and I like it but didn’t like how it turned soapy on me . The intense version goes super soapy on me but the aura …. That’s the winner for me on my skin! :) I got rose musk vanilla and it was fresh but not too soapy compared to OG . Ha just my two scents lol in case it helps anyone . Not sure if it projects as well as the OG yet

I have been eyeing Lancôme Idole since the very beginning have yet to get it and here we are, what 2 or 3 flankers later 😆lol ….aside from this one which one would you say is best, the first one or the intense?….thanks for another vid☺️

If you love strong musky fragrances the intense..if you want more of the rose, the original.

If I had to choose one, I'd probably go for the intense, but of course, that's just me. Hopefully you'll be able to try them out to see which works best for you :)

For me. I get intense rose. Then when it dries down I get a salty butterscotch. No musk. Tiny bit of vanilla. Little bit of soap but mostly butterscotch

This sounds like a bit of a disappointment. I have already been disappointed in this line so far, so I am not suprised. I was intrigued by the rose and salt notes though.

I liked the opening, but than came this aquatic note, which I don't like at all. Same in Narciso Ambrée. So it is "salt". Now I can name this note concretely. As I can't stand it, even small amount of it seems to be always prominent to me.

The whole line is a very amplified soapy, floral-musk. I'm drawn to it...but like Alien--it's nice and attractive and then becomes a bit "too much." I tried it in the store and it was nice. I think I may have liked it better than the original.
