I know what you mean about scaling back. I put all the pumpkins and other cutesy things that I bought mostly at Hobby lobby in the last four years into a trash bag and dropped them off at Savers yesterday. I am definitely simplifying this year, and my house doesn’t feel so cluttered.

Hi there! We just moved into a different house, just let me make your jaw drop. I had my entire back bedroom, fall Halloween and Xmas boxes, from ceiling wall to wall of decorations. And I keep buying more, cause I hate January thru September, I'm a fall girl & I can't help buy new beautiful things every year! I put up 8 Xmas trees every year, so I LOVE my stuff. I'm a holiday hoarder, lol. So hard for me to part w any of it. I used to have a floral biz, I always had 60-90+ orders for wreaths for all the holidays, so I have new ones all the time, and I do theme trees. So your itty bitty bins make me laugh!!! 😅

And that was just on stuff that I had on one side of my pantry, and a couple boxes I had in my closet. I didn’t even take my bins down from the garage! That stuff has to go as well! You have the prettiest hair. I have cut back some this year on my fall decor. But, I do change things up some from fall to fall. Your home looks more elegant than mine. Mine is rustic country. You know kind of like being in a barn/lodge. My husband use to hunt. We have deers, horns, wagon wheels lanterns, ladders, old barrel, etc. I am just a country girl with a husband and two boys and so I just went with it.🤣 Well, my daughter n law did ask me to help her decorate. I’m kind of nervous about it. I have lots of decor too. I am having trouble parting with it. Don’t you know I can always find something else I’d like to have too. I can always circle back around and use things I haven’t used in years too. I have a real problem.😂

James's Birthday Dinner looked delicious. He is such a hoot. That fall arrangement is beautiful, just the extra cosmos set it off perfect. And I know exactly how you feel with all the fall decor... Your hair looks wonderful!!! It’s definitely past time for me to go get my hair shaped up. I have definitely had my share of problems with curtains at this house. We have Andersen casement windows and all of them are odd sizes that just don’t match up with the standard ready-made sizes. I am so tired of the window treatments we have, but since everything has to be custom-made, it’s just not that easy to make changes. We have custom blinds on most of our windows. We have vertical blinds in the living room and dining room and on the sliding glass door. About all I can do is change the color for a room update, which is very expensive since blinds hold up for a very long time. We have accordion blinds in one bedroom with an eyelet valance and sheer panels and heavy drapes in the bedroom I use for my office/sitting room. Our house is very different because one of our four bedrooms doesn’t have windows anymore because it once had windows that opened onto a back porch that years ago was closed in to make a sun room which is now a den. This bedroom is now used as my husband’s office. In the master bedroom, we took out the double windows because they opened up to the screen porch at the back entrance door, which gave us no privacy in the bedroom-we installed a very small octagon window over our bed just to let in some light. I don’t have any kind of window treatment in my kitchen because it only has one window over the kitchen sink which makes my kitchen very dark. When we renovated this old house in 1986, we removed almost half of the windows because there were so many windows-now I wish we had gone back with the same number of windows🤷🏼‍♀️-almost 40 years later my husband says we aren’t doing anything because it is fine-and he is right!!!! He says if we ever do anything we will sell and move to downsize-and that just ain’t happening either!!! LOL!!!!! I think your excess fall decorations will sell really well in your booth!!! I donated tons of all kinds of unneeded decorations to Goodwill last year-fall and Christmas. I have scaled back considerably with all my seasonal decorating and I am happy I finally did!!! Glad you all went out to celebrate James-your food looked amazing!!!! The fall arrangement looks beautiful!!! I have always enjoyed arranging flowers and making wreathes!!! I’ll bet that arrangement in your hallway would look great on your mantelpiece as the focal point!!! 💝💝💝

I think it will go fairly quickly too. It feels so good to scale back and use things I truly love. No regrets.😉 That food was so good. I think we all cleaned our plates.😂 That arrangement would look good there but it would interfere with the tv. 😬. I will figure something out…😄

Hi Donna! I agree with you about your hair. The piece of bangs in front are too rosy color or that's the way its coming across. Ok...I am guilty too of needing to downside my fall decor. When I went through a divorce, I was living in a 6,000 sf home and now I am living in a bout a 1300 sf home which I adore so, I have alot I don't need and need to do like you and downsize my fall stuff, plus we had a lake house, so I really need to downsize. I want you to know , all these things won't make you happy. I wish I had ,had my own James. You two are so very blest! I just love yall so much! Yall are my kinda folks, and your Momma, she is the cherry on the sundae 🍨 . I went to At Home and bought some fall flowers too this year! I am trying to downsize and buying at the same time! Lol! Are we related? I think you said you have an At Home store too! I like their store. I think their floral is beautiful and even cheaper than Hobby Lobby with the 40 % off. I shop at JoAnn's too. I don't know if you have a JoAnn's fabrics but they have good sales too! I can't wait to see your chocolate velvet curtains when you get them hung. I just love how you decorate. Your hall bouguet is just georgeous with or without the golds. I personally like it with! The pheasants you painted look like the ones at Hobby Lobby. They will be sold quick in your booth. It’s faded a lot but we are gonna fix it. I’m not a pink haired girl…😄. It has felt so good to scale back and use the pieces I love. I’ve even used them in different places and ways. It gets my creative juices flowing. I definitely learned that lesson too. It’s not about the stuff we have. I just need him. It’s cheesy but he really does complete me. ❤️ I rarely go to At Home and our Joann’s went out of business. I think those pheasants will go fast too. We will see. They go in the booth tomorrow..😉🧡🍂

Good morning gf😊 Your hair had gotten long! I love the cut tho. I wore mine like that for years, same cut & colors! But mine is much thinner than yours so the stack doesn't look as full of course.. but i loved the colors! I've been telling my husband ever since we've been in Florida I'm ready to go back to that style but maybe a little longer than it was before. Its just too doggone hot for hair down here!🥵Lol i had let it grow out and it's past my shoulder blades, but it stays on top of my head 90% of the time..i wear it down for church on Sundays then its back up soon as i get home! I have enjoyed playing around with different clips & up styles, I'd like to leave enough length to still pin some up. Maybe a longer shag or Bob 🤷‍♀️ I'll probably wait til next summer tho. It just looks thicker when its short, and healthier too. I don't think I'm going to color it tho. Its been natural & graying for 2yrs now. Who knows what I'll end up doing Lol😄 But I never found a hairdresser i really liked in TN..i loved my hairdresser in NC! I hate trying to find a new one somewhere you don't know anyone! My DIL & all her family have long hair so.. anyways guess I'll figure it out🙄 Crab & shrimp are my absolute fave food ever! I can eat shrimp any way you cook it! I've never had Fred crab claws, they look yummy😋 My Son's bday was on the 9th, his wife don't eat seafood except fish, so he always goes to eat seafood for his bday. There's a place down here where you get it like low country boil style.. pick what you want in your bag & your season. I get shrimp & crab legs with Cajun season, then the potatoes & corn on the cob of course. Girl I ate so much, its so good! Then they gave him a big jar of the Cajun seasoning when we ckd out for his bday! We're gonna grill some shrimp & corn on the cob when it cools off a little. He's got NO shade here so its way too hot to grill right now. But We'll be firing it up in another month or so.😉 Girl that arrangement is gorgeous! I love it!🧡 The lighter pieces just perfected it! Can wait to see the mantle & all your fall decor done! Enjoyed spending the morning with you & Hope you have an awesome day!😊

I'm so excited to see you decorate. But I will tell you I did the same thing I had tons of pumpkins don't know why. And I ended up giving a whole big plastic bag of flowers and pumpkins and things to my daughter. If I had a booth I probably would have done that but I don't I have kids so my daughter's got what I don't need.
