@@ss4472 well we got him as a rescue dog at the RSPCA I was the one in the family who was begging for a dog we actually went to look for a girl puppy but when we got there I fell in love with the maltipoo and when I said “mum can we get the maltipoo” she said “well ofcourse but he is old and probably only has another 5 years left to live” and I said “ I don’t care I have fallen in love with him” and yeah of course I’m gonna cry and be depressed and everything when he passes away but that’s the price of love

But if you don’t want a lapdog, don’t get a maltipoo because he will give you all his love up close. Ours is 7 years old & was so easy to train. We highly recommend this breed.

Have had my Matlipoo since he was a pup and he's 12yo now. He developed KCS a year ago which is apparently common of this breed too. KCS is where the immune system attacks the year ducts and can't produce tears which causes eyes to be dry, inflamed, and full of mucus. Only way to treat is a prescription cyclosporine eye ointment which suppresses the immune system in the eyes so they can produce tears. I love my dog though. He is so affectionate and loves to cuddle & be held. Doesn't like to be alone at all. He is jealous of other dogs though.

My multipoo is almost 2. I noticed your bell which is the same one I used to train him to go out side. Works great but because he's so smart he sometimes uses it to get my attention when I'm sitting on the couch too long. I open the door to let him out but instead he'll bring a toy and drop it by my feet wanting to play.

They really are the best dogs in my opinion. I used to have Chihuahuas when I was a child. I never thought I would want a different dog. When I found Molly I now know I wouldn't want any other dog. She full of energy but is just as happy sitting beside you while you work from home. She is our Social Butterfly. She knows more people in my apartment complex than I do. The hardest part I've found about have a maltipoo is the grooming.

My maltipoo is way more poodle-like and on the larger side. My dog is the one in my profile pic but this was back when he was a puppy. He is literally the chillest and lowest-maintnence dog I have ever met. We keep his hair short so we don't have to brush him and because we live in a warmer area. He's very cautious of bigger dogs. But very gentle with smaller ones. He loves laying with other dogs his size, and since he is bigger, he can go on very long and fast walks and runs. He's also very smart and loyal, so he'll remember anything you tell him to do. He doesn't really like me though, at least not as much as my parents 😆

My maltipoo is going on 16yrs, I always feed grass fed beef real cheese for treats, sandwich meat that is non gmo, no antibiotics, basically the same thing I eat. He doesn’t need much so it doesn’t hurt the bank. Dry dog food is really bad for dogs, the dry food is designed to be on the shelf for 3yrs without going bad. Basically all the nutrients are gone. They’ve done studies on dogs that have supposedly died of old age and they found them to be severely lacking and malnourished. Before mass produced food a golden retriever would live on average 20yrs, now the average lifespan of all dogs is 15 max. One other thing I would like to point out is that I gave my dog the rabies vaccine at 12yrs and it was the worst thing that I could have ever done, he immediately changed and became aggressive. I believe he had an allergic reaction. The vets tell you it’s impossible but it’s not, if you research natural vets online they have a ton of info, but the most important thing to note is that no dog should be given vaccines after 10yrs because they no longer have the ability to fight the bad stuff in them, and for small dogs it’s even worse because they give the same amount of vaccine to my 10lb maltipoo as they would give a 200lb. Dog they don’t change the dose like they do in humans. You maybe able to find a holistic vet but they are few and far between because the big pharmaceutical companies have enough money and pull to take a vets license if they dare speak out about negative side effects of vaccines. I love my dog to death and it’s taken me years to get the vaccine injuries to somewhat dissipate. It took me 2 years to be able to hold and carry a dog that before could be in my arms all day long. The vaccine caused allergies to be severe so his skin was hypersensitive and it put him into fight or flight 24/7. Till I got him detoxed that is, I would start with silver water and non processed food.

I agree with you on a lot of this! I just lost my 15 year old dog recently & other than the initial puppy shots & a few shots here & there, I didn’t go out of my way to update them every time I got a reminder card. I always thought that was suspect. I fed him kibble for years, but over time, I started learning about how the kibble is not so healthy for them. He lost a lot of teeth eventually, so we switched to a softer food diet in the last 4 years of his life. As I’m figuring out what kind of dog to get next, I will not be feeding them kibble only! There’re so many healthier options for them now. I know SO much more stuff now that I wish I knew 15 years ago, but I’ll be that much more prepared for my next dog.

aww I have a maltipom and he can't be anymore different! I am surprised maltipoo needs little exercise. My maltipom needs to go out adventuring every single day, and he's ready before i'm even awake. He's incredibly active in the mind and physically with bursts of energy. He also has a ferocious strong expressive personality where he does not like laps or being bothered randomly. He's hyper sensitive, alert, and way too obsessed with needing to know where everyone is at all times where he cannot be left alone and gets upset if any one leaves. I did all the training that I could find online since he was a puppy but maybe he got held against his will or too hard unpleasantly when he was young by his previous owners. He's 9-10 lbs and is squirmy derpy silly and goes rawrrr when he plays acting very mighty!

Every Maltipoo is different! Rosco shares some of the characteristics of your dog. He has lots of energy too but can adapt to what we do :) He loves to growl when we play and is always up for a game of fetch!

He’s a mix of a toy poodle and he weighs around 8 lbs. He was neutered a couple months ago and his personality hasn’t changed much. He’s gotten a bit calmer since then, but it’s probably just because he’s getting older. I’m so happy that this helped you! I’m glad you enjoyed it :)

I have a maltipoo and yorkiepoo.. both boys.. my maltipoo I’ve had since he was 5wks (mom stopped feeding).. they’re amazing dogs, friendly, smart, and bossy to my yorkiepoo 🤣🤣 I love them!
