The Gallagher's childhood story and their positive music gave me strength to overcome my own family issues. I love how Noel doesn't express resentment. He's my #1 hero. Bless him!

Noel's face at 5:56 to 6:00 is pretty sad to see. Did well to keep his composure when talking about tough things like that

@jon cullen I hate that he went through that. In his own words, and I agree, it made him *fearless* when he realized he wasn't dead lying on the floor knocked unconscious. He's definitely scarred for life. But he's managed to bring greatness out of his life from such dark horrors.

Noel is a gentelman, i was at the edinburgh hogmanay party 2008 and he was standing about 20 yards away behind a big fence with the kasabian front man so i took the opertunity to shout over to him (come and shake my hand noel) he stopped his conversation with tom and come over and shook my hand wished me a happy new year told me to have a good one then went back to his convo wi tom,superb got photos of him aswell.

Noel is just a great guy in general...i mean as we can see at 5:59 he looks like hes getting ready to cry as most people would but for him to feel the way he did then and turn it round into a laugh is just amazing...shows he doesnt wanna brag bout his problems yet his music helps so many people with theirs god bless you Sir Noel Gallagher
@BlinkyBM12 жыл бұрын
One of my favourite all time interviews. I think you can feel the respect from Noel here. He's much more reserved and emotional than when you see him normally, and I think thats because he respects Parkinson and knows he wont put a negative slant on what he says, however much he opens up about himself. The chat show format died completely when Parky retired.

I want to give that man such a big hug. Noel Gallagher has inspired me like nothing else has. Without him and the influence of Oasis I would not be the happy, carefree and hard working person I am today. So heartbreaking at 5:59
@sarahthe4212 жыл бұрын
A lot of people who had a childhoods like Noel did wallow in self pity and negativity their whole lives. Instead he made himself strong, changed his situation and somehow stayed so positive. Thats rare. 5.59 is so sad to see, he obviously still carries that stuff around but he REFUSES to let it define him. At the same time, its probably what fuels his relationship with music.. the only justification for pain is art.

People react different to different situations, just because Noel was strong willed and got through it other people mentally can, doesn’t make them less of a man/woman because they mentally can’t get through it and need to seek help

I really respect Noel Gallagher. Probably more than his little brother Liam, because Liam's way to swayable. Noel on the other hand, joined the band and just took over. Now he writes some of the greatest songs ever, and plays guitar in the band. In my opinion, he should also be the lead singer. Noel seems really cool and laid back in this interview. Good video.

can't believe some of the disgusting comments knocking around here.Noel Gallagher is a rarity...a solid gold collectors edition that grows in value as years subside.He had nothing,few friends,a shit dad & low self esteem.He didn't blame immigration,the middle classes,education etc. He picked up a guitar,taught himself how to play & a few years later changed the lives of millions. He's never changed;still a chirpy gent,still supporting the same shit team and singing about living forever Top man
