Just in the link of the chain ratchet binder 1:50 , insert the tip of the winch bar to prevent it from turning, small bar will do the trick. The main thing: You got it done . ( I do carry with me a 16’ electrical conduit tube for the chains just for the reels) blessings for You and Your Brother.

I think I remember that feeling, when ur baggy pants get soaked and stick all over your legs and u have to pull up on em to be able to walk. BRB I got soaked a few times in doing deck work. I use to hate doing RGN work in the rain. Steel on steel slides but add water to it and the danger goes up to a new level. You sounded a bit down BECCA. Hey only turn out videos when your up to it. We all got lives that pull us in all directions, some positive and some not so positive. Sometimes being on the road all the times is hard to take. It feels like your just working all the time and life is passing you by. Knows that feeling well, but also knew and loved the feeling here today gone tomorrow . Chin up there Miss BRB. Nothing like running at 65, suns out, the radidio is playing some good tunes and everything is showing up in your rear view mirror. Get yourself a 8' to 9' piece of pvc tubing. Be sure you can get the hook of the chain to fit into the end of the pvc. Hook the chain to push it through, and to remove the chain put the pipe through and hook the chain like you didto push it through. Keep the chain pulled tight so it doesn't allow the hook to fall out of the pvc. It should pull the chain back through with out hooking the center.

Amazing dedication. Thank you for the great video. I keep duct tape when I unchain. Wrap the hook with tape and they slide right through. It keeps them from getting stuck. Also you don't have to worry about it flying back at you from pulling on them.

Getting some White Lithium Grease in Aerosol spray and spray it on the threads of your binders will help with the binding issues. Use it liberally inside the thread housing and on the threads .

A good way to keep the hook on your chain fron getting caught on something when pulling it thru is to just rehook it a couple of links up back to the chain then pull it thru.❤

The best money I ever spent was for a GOOD rain jacket and the biggest, ugliest rain hat I could find. Something about keeping your feet and head dry really is comforting. Still have mine in the garage and still works! Hope you have lots of sunny days in your travels.

Becca you need to get some anti-seize grease for those chain binders, coat the threads good and you won't have an issue with them locking up like that. Either you can do it or your mechanic shop (ask one of the mechanics, they might have a bottle just and give it you). You really need it now that they are wet, the rust will make it even more difficult to use them. So this is what you look like after a shower, I like it!! 😍lol

My 1st couple of times hauling these reels I used chains like you. But I started to use a chain on each end reel and 2 straps. Then 2 straps on the other ones.

Might try taking the hooks and pins off one side of the chains. I haul machinry, and the hook is almost always too tiny to fit through the eye holes for securment?
