Great bikes man ! Glad to see you here on KZbin too. Unfortunately where I’m from (Singapore), we have pretty strict regulations on e bikes. The max weight can only be 20kg / 44lbs and it has to be paddle assist only with a top speed of 25km/hour and our motors are usually 36/48V 250W. If not, I would definitely be able to work faster haha !

If you’re always riding in the city, you’d probably get more range and speed with a smoother tire. All those treads have to cut through the air and have a lot of rolling resistance.

@@BikeDasher My closest example is a 26" mountain bike and I'm running the Continental Contact Plus City Reflex Tire. It's the same, fat 2.2" is tire with a fairly mid presssure just like the off-road tire my bike came with. Excellent in urban environments with a full mix of surfaces. I'm not at all familiar with the massive tires you're bike runs but there might be some good urban tires worth trying. The vibration reduction alone was worth it for me.

Like the other guy said I got a decent sized tire for the reason of helping with rolling resistance and help with battery, but I think the former trump's the latter in my case

Regarding the "sketchiness" of the zipties, I've been using this method on my ebike for 4 years and have carried over 50 pounds in the crate, no problem. Just be sure to use the thick zipties and use a lot of them.

I have learned on my e-bike that using the throttle saves battery over using pedal assist on the highest speed setting. I think its because pedal assist on the highest speed setting actually acts as a boost of speed rather than conserving battery.

That makes no sense. Anything over 20mph gets less efficient but besides that pedal assist helps the motor unless your going 20mph+ and you don't have the correct gearing configuration for any resistance.

You mentioned you paid off the bike in two weeks, which is the same mindset I have in investing in an ebike over a car. Do you an extra battery for these delivery shifts or is 1 battery enough for you? To work a decent amount and get home if you wanted to I see that the bike you have now has two batteries what about with the other bikes used with one battery or had a spare?

im a new sub after a couple of vids, i have been on an ebike for 3 years now as my commuter , so i get where you are coming from! the grizzly is a bad MOFO! i want one ! i rode a huffy night hawk with a 1500w motor ingesting 72v 80a for 3 years every day! so i get the feeling of freedom . sadly it was destroyed by my step son after he was evicted for stealing money. but i am on the wifes trike until mine gets here. building a new fat tire 5000w monster ! should be allot of fun! keep the cool content coming and the shiny side up!

hey I have a question. What ebike do you recommend? I currently do deliveries with my car but gas is killing me. So I’m looking at ebike or scooter. But I like that with an ebike I can go on the sidewalk. What ebike brand do you recommend that is under $1000. Walmart has an ebike heybike for $800 but it only gives 40 miles per charge. I was hoping for more miles per charge. Also, how do you handle drinks? I currently do deliveries with my car and sometimes I get orders with 3 or even 4 large 🥤. The restaurants give me a soda cup holder and in my car I have a sturdy area. however, on a bike, holding a bag on your back, how could you prevent say 3 drinks from not spilling? Also, what about large pizza orders like say from papa johns? I have a very large bag I use for 18 inch pizzas. In my car it’s not an issue, but how could I put a large 18 inch pizza on a bike without it getting tossed around?

Find a way to eliminate the crate (weight). One way is to cut slits in the bottom of the insulated container and use the slits with zip ties around the bike's cargo rack Or you could super-glue it to the cargo rack. 😁 (kiddinng) Delivery MOTORCYCLES in Bangkok don't use them and they don't have to worry that much about weight. Get at least one mirror on the handlebar and use it. I cycle in Bangkok and things are hectic enough that I won't go out without a mirror OR a bell even though I'm usually on the sidewalk/pavement(British) while riding in Bangkok because of the road carnage that is occurring in Thailand. 😁
