Great video production and incredible looking Land Rover but converting a part of Portuguese Land Rover history and heritage sounds crazy to me if you can just source RHD S2’s in the UK…

Does anyone know what kind of camera is used to make the photographs that are shown in the last seconds of the video?

Look up Hasselblad H6D, I think that was the digital one he used at the start

Cool video. Curious why such a cool Japanese cat would prefer a Series over an FJ though. More common there, so something different? A lot of Porsche fans are also into Land Cruisers. I would have maybe been a Roverphile if I didn't find a beaten-up FJ60 that I restored, for much less cost than a Series to be used as a daily driver. Love your work though.

Why would you think that his nationality has anything to do with his taste in cars?
@emeeul6 ай бұрын
@@MervandtheMagicTones Because there’s a general correlation. “General”, as in national pride. It’s also a little ironic. A 40 is likely better than a Series in almost every way, except it has brand cachet to Anglophiles carrying a torch for the British empire. I really dig the aesthetics and history as a car guy, but that’s about it. It’s akin to Sarah Silverman’s song “Jewish People Driving German Cars”.

Pretty car and very clean, but restored to be shiny rather than technically accurate. I own a 1961 109 basic that I rebuilt in 2007. Whilst your 109 is very clean, I am uncertain what your objective is? Is it symmetry, because there is the usual poor alignment (bumper to wing, door to bulkhead). Is it shininess, which it is? Nice photos and pleased the SII gets a good pampering.

Great question. We're still exploring, but it’s all about commitment to precision and passion - obsession. From our own point of view or highlighting interesting others. Stay tuned as we continue to evolve!

So it's not a Landrover -.- very disappointing...
@78a67h9 ай бұрын
Firstly this video is click-bait as it is 80% about photography than Land Rovers. Secondly with all the modern "upgrades" you have incorporated you simply ruined the vintage. A classic car is only worth its salt if kept ORIGINAL.

I think you’ll find people pay a lot more for one of these than a standard factory correct, restored 109”
@kevinbarrett96157 ай бұрын
That’s one opinion, there are actually people who drive their cars and want to do it reliably and safely. Have you never heard of Icon , they over restore all their vehicles and get 6 figure prices for them.
@78a67h7 ай бұрын
@@kevinbarrett9615 I don't know Icon. A classic car lover wants an era vehicle to be like it was made back then to convey all the relevant feelings. Someone who wants a modern high-performing car with all contemp bells and whistles can go and buy one from the 2024 production line.

@@78a67h Lots of companies restore vehicles to varying levels. I have a barn-find BJ42 from the Outback, all-original and with great patina. That said, there are many things I would LOVE to restore, for safety and aesthetics. Also, if I had the funds, I'd buy an Icon or FJ Company restomodded Cruiser the moment I was able, in addition to my original. Different strokes - this clearly isn't your area of interest. Same with vintage audio gear, watches, etc - it's great to have originals and restored examples.
