Delivery of my 2024 S650 Mustang GT!!!

My '24 Mustang is in my garage!! I did my best to capture the day in this video though I was a bit overwhelmed. The car is amazing! I love everything about it.

I’m a C7 Vette owner, but there’s something about these S650s and I want one so bad. I feel like since my Vette is a base model this 5.0 is gonna be right there in performance. The only thing I’ll say is that my C7 is a real head turner

Thanks for sharing the experience. Was glad to hear that you are doing a proper break in period! 1,000 miles, vary speeds and keeping it under 4,000 rpm. I did so with my new 2022 and have the peace of mind knowing that it was done right. Was going to order a 2024, but stumbled across a brand new 2022 window stickered at $54,490 in March of 2023, advertised at $3,500 off sticker. I did the proper break in, but was a bit easier then what you will suffer through! I traded my 2021 for it, so knew what to expect when my foot slammed the floor. Carbonized grey with the black racing strip from Ford. I'm 71 years young and owned a 64 1/2 as my first car.

I haven't had the chance to see a 2024 up close yet. Did Ford put a sound tube on it? Also, it looked like they got rid of the small storage drawer to the lower right of the steering wheel. Is that gone? I put a K&N open air intake on mine so sound tube is gone, as well as a Steeda H-Pipe.@@joesprostreet74gto68

The sound tube is in this generation as well. The storage drawer (except for the convertible) has been removed and placed in the console above the rear-view mirror. 👍

I may do the active exhaust video! I'm planning on swapping the resonator with a Borla 60662 SWITCHFIRE X-Pipe www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J3M92PF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A26YLYFFSVKSNX&psc=1 once I get confirmation that it fits the 2024. Not sure if I'd go beyond that with the exhaust yet.

Nice to see Ford went back to larger amount of red on the door panel and not just a hockey stick amount. I would also do black and red interior. Still not sold on the screens but I haven't sat in one yet. Good luck with the new Mustang, it looks and sounds really good.

Thank you! Yes, the screens are far different from any “dash” we’ve seen. I just found that when driving, I was actually enjoying the variety of info you have between the two screens. You can display five gauges on the touch screen! I love gauges 😁

@jimthompson717 Hi Jim! In my opinion this is THE best Mustang Ford has put out. The Performance Package is a good investment if you are going to be able to take advantage of the extra handling it provides. It is definitely nice to have regardless, but for the price I felt I would be able to spend that money on specific enhancements that I know would benefit me. Plus, you get the summer-only tires with the Perf Pack and for me, that would necessitate buying winter tires. Thanks for the kind words and I applaud you on your 5th Mustang! Again, this is certainly the best GT - gotta love Ford's commitment to this car and its fans. I truly believe that with a regime change in Washington, this ridiculously hysterical push for EVs will be slowed down and we may see an extension to our gas-powered muscle cars! I appreciate your comment my friend. Let me know what you decide to get!

ACTIVE EXHAUST AND 6 SPEED POWER 486 HP TO 3:73 GEARS. IT SHITS AND GITS! AN ABSOLUTE BLAST TO DRIVE. I PUT LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON IT AND HAD TO PUT IT AWAY FOR THE WINTER. CAN'T WAIT FOR MAY AS IT IS ONLY A SUMMER CAR. IT HAS THE SAME INTERIOR AS YOURS , WHICH IS A GREAT CHOICE! I LOVE THE HANDLING PACKAGE AS IT TAKES CARE OF THE LAZINESS IN THE STEERING THAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING. I TOO HAD AN S550 PREMIUM WITH ALL THE GOODIES BUT ONLY 3:55 GEARS. WAS AN EXCELLENT DRIVER AS WELL. 7 YEARS OLD AND ONLY 29K MILES. HAVE FUN WITH YOUR NES MUSTANG! IF YOU SRE EVER IN MINNESOTA, LOOK FOR MY LICENSE PLATE "LASTANG"

I used to have a 2014, gave it to my mother so she could have something fun....but since then I fell on hard times and drive a 98 Sentra....how the mighty have fallen! I hope to get a first gen sometime when I get back on my feet, just got new job but I have to buy a van for it so it will be a while before I can get a Mustang again.
