the only thing that would make me upgrade my current alarms barring them breaking would be the ability to change the settings on the head from the receiver, that's the future for me

@@ogc1312 turning the alarm off will stop it transmitting to the receiver if you feel it necessary. Which is what the switch on the Fox is doing 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@ogc1312 you can deactivate the anti theft if you don’t want it. Ultimately there are always compromises where security is needed.

Funny that when I said over a year ago that the V1 was far too complex and you said it wasn’t, now you accept they were. Lost me as a customer to Fox RX I’m afraid, maybe one day I’ll be back.

I’ll wait for the V3’s that will undoubtably come out in a couple of years or maybe the V4’s in 5 years time just the same as the other tackle companies do.. it’s a shame because Delkim in the past always made the very best possible alarms for carp fisherman in the first place…

Kinda feel let down I brought the txi d then lock down happend so couldn’t test them now I’ve realised there stupidly tricky now u have brought v2s out and reading between the lines seems like uve ironed all the problems out and we’re all stuck with txi ds

It is always difficult when you bring out new products as someone will have always bought the old one yesterday and feel unhappy if they always want the latest model. Delkim will always try to make the best products possible and the current Txi-D is still a great alarm. The fact you like what we have done on the v2 shows we are always moving forward in the right direction. Technology is also moving forward quicker so our products need to reflect this too. There is some cross compatibility with the new and old so you are not forced to buy a complete new set if you want some of the benefits the v2 brings.

Maybe if companies like Delkim let the public know a few months in advance that the plan on an upgrade in 3 months then people can choose to wait. This recently happened to me when buying a titan, got mine and 7 days later the pro version announced, at least they did announce before it went on sale but only by a few weeks

They do you just have to recognise the signs last 6 months to a year delks have been up for a reduced price its all marketing if they said directly 3 months prior they wouldn't have any sales of the old product and they want as much money as possible sad for the consumer @@sparky1964

Had the txi's for years couldn't fault them so thought id upgrade to the d,s. 2 weeks of use the blue buzzer draining battery, new battery same problem, returned to shop and replaced same problem, only on the blue buzzer, now probably 3 months old the yellow LED has gone, really wish i hadnt changed over, also they ae complicated to use, always have to look in manual how to do something, Hopefully these problems have bee. Sorted out on the new versions, but dont think i will be purchasing,

Very sorry you have had any problems. We suggest returning any faulty items directly to us and we can sort this for you. If they are the age you say we will replace them for you no problem.

No smartphone connectivity. Still behind other companies. You need to catch up big time. I can change everything on my alarms sat in my bivvy from my phone or receiver. Old hat this matey. And my set of 3 including the receiver was under £130. And they look the nuts and are built like tanks.

Why you aren't making them programmable/customisable by app is bloody beyond me. We don't need a torch need to be able to turn the volume up/down/change the tone/sensitivity etc via app. Should be intuitive and customisable through a smartphone.

I have just one question about the new bite alarm. Can all the indicators with night lights be used with the various multi led as long as the matching led colour is selected on the alarm, will they sync automatically ( red with red , white with white etc)? Or are only the V2 indicators suitable/ can be synced? I.just thought of one more question, do you do a two alarm presentation set with the complete set up including the indicators snag ears and all the added extras in one smart kit setup? I think if you did this as a package in two set, three rod or four, you would corner the market as one kit does it all in one presentation set would be really convenient and safely transported in transit.

I spoke to this guy a year before the next generation was released. At the time, there were rumours that the next generation were still in development. I asked him at a trade show whether they would be wifi,bluetooth, or both so you could use them via an app on the phone. I said there would be no reason for a sounder box,and you could have hundreds of soud settings to choose from via an app on the phone. I said this could be a game changer for delkim. To which he gave me an odd look, turned his back on me, and walked away. Pitty. This is probably why the new generation is still not as popular as the older generation. An opportunity missed in my opinion

no this is not possible as it is a big security risk. If press a button on the alarms muted the alarm and the receiver anyone could steal you alarms and you'd never know.

That's such a shame, so many people hate having to turn off the remote to adjust the bobbins.. A simple warning noise in the remote when the mute is used would warn if someone else tried to mute. You could still keep the alarm if reciever is turned off

@@DelkimLtd I would honestly consider switching as the response control would allow me to make them more to my liking but not with those blarring start up tones. I really don't think they are required as you could have a light sequence and/or 1 and or 2 bleeps.

If you need a ‘guide’ or an app then your product isn’t intuitive. The colour changing led excuse is rubbish. My NTXr’s had that years ago and it was perfectly bright. The V1 was over complicated. Your customers aren’t idiots. Your design was heavily floored and it’s because you failed to put these in the hands of regular customers who were willing to give you no consequence feedback and then listen to it. No point putting it in the hands of a fanboy or a sponsored angler. Give it to someone hyper critical who’s been angling for years and give them no instructions. If they can’t use it, you failed in your design. Also, having 1 button doesn’t make things simpler.
