Thanks, I wanted to see how to disassemble so that I can make a dummy battery for my laptop. I use the laptop in some extreme climates which always kills the battery and I only use it with the AC adapter anyway. Dell does not sell dummy batteries for my situation so this helps me to make one of my own by removing the batteries and leaving me a shell to put into the battery location. Nice work and thanks a bunch.

3.75v. 2800mAH clamied by the manufecturer but can be higher when tested.

I had the same battery, when I tried to remove the housing I accidentally knocked off three SMD resistors R17, R19 and R21 I measured the values of tho resistors, it seems they are 100ohms but the remaining one is still a mystery. Do you know the values of those? It'd be so helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi Gowrishankar, Unfortunately i dont know the value of the remaning resistor , its better to buy a new battery it may not worth the effort of reparing and buying new 4 cells.

nae, agar total voltage 14.8v hai to 3 cells 11.10v voltage pe kaise chale ga., battries weld hain boht mushkil hai change krna.

Genuine Dell battery can not be disassembled this way. Itt is sealed, the cells are glued to the inside wall, and embedded in a rubberlike black material. Impossible to open without destruction.
