Due to its bandwidth and 6gb gddr6 memory, its comparation base should be the Nvidia 2060/1660ti duo. However it seems the tandem Smartshift and Game shift is able to boost its capacity to one similar level to the Nvidia 2070, sometimes. I speak of the mobile versions for laptops, of course.

There are different levels, Balanced, Quiet, Max Perf - but I'd have to look at additional control features. But yes, you can control it at least in those increments.

It has two m.2 slots but one is a mini slot and Dell loads it up with a half-length NVMe stick. The other slot is full sized and Dell was thoughtful enough to leave that one available for the user, to drop a standard length NVMe PCIe SSD stick in there.

My one gripe: you don't get the option to upgrade your battery to a higher capacity like you can with Intel/Nvidia alternatives. That chassis is big enough to hold a 74Whr battery, it's not much smaller than the Inspiron 15 Gaming 7000 series.

I was shocked to find out the longer copper heatsink and retaining screw show at 5:46 in the video is missing from my machine. Kinda frustrating. Any idea what size screw it is? I'm confused about its USB ports: In your review wrote about 2 USB 3.0 ports, aside from the third USB 3.1 gen 2 and the USB type C. But Dell has written in its website it has two USB 2.0 ports, not 3.0, and two superspeed USB 2.0 (?) ports in G5 intel's model. It's strange the use of two USB 2.0 ports today, perhaps one as legacy, but two...

Those are typos on Dell's site. I have confirmed it with my product manager contacts at Dell. It was also an error in their reviewer's guide, which I caught and alerted them to. So our notation of USB 3.0 on those right side Type A ports is correct. They're USB 3.0.

Honestly, this is a steal for the price. It's nice that they are including a 512GB SSD as well as an extra M.2 slot. Too many manufacturers are sticking with a 256GB M.2 as the standard to ship with. Which in todays world, seems outright ridiculous. A 256GB M.2 would be full after 2 games being downloaded. AMD seems to really be stepping it up with their mobile stuff now too and it's going show in this next year of mobile PC gaming. A lot more buyers will be inclined to buy something at this price point considering its specs and portability. Also, great review. Keep'em coming. You've got yourself another subscriber.

I actually haven't seen that ASUS machine in person so I can't comment, but I will say this panel is solid. I believe it's 72% NTSC so nothing special but they calibrate it well, it has good saturation and pop. Could be a little brighter at 300 nits but for the price and if you want high refresh rates, VA is kind of it right now in this price range.
