Thanks for the review. I can't believe people would get the Inspiron 15 for productivity... or any cheap laptop. I got the Inspiron 15 for media consumption, as it is more capable than the majority of tablets in the same price range and is cheaper and more capable than a lot of the Chromebooks out there. The fact you can get a new i3 version for $260 or an i5/Ryzen 5 for $320 for nearly the whole month of Nov23 just seems to blow the competition out of the water. Don't pay for a bigger SSD/NVMe or RAM... just buy your own and upgrade separately.

Last year, I got an inspiron for general office work. It is perfectly fine. Plus, you can game on it too, at least it is ok for me. Using an Inspiron 14, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Ryzen 5 7530U. The pricing was ok. I was happy with it for around the office at home. Today I have bought an Inspiron 16, with i7,16GB and 1TB for her office work at home. Will see how it will work out. I hope that this laptop will last around 5 or 6 years.

Well I’m one of those people you can’t believe bought an Inspiron 3520 i5, 16 GB and I use it for productivity . I run Ableton Live 12 DAW, Native Instruments, Adobe Editor Pro and code in Python with zero issues. Just saying…..

Decided to order this laptop, from the outlet, it was a bit more, (no sale, but slightly discounted). Added 2 year warranty and backpack, cost was $560. i7, with Iris Xe iGPU, 16gb, and 512GB SSD, It will be a replace for my gaming laptop, as a non gaming laptop, (mobile) my Alienware 15 battery does not last more then 30 mins.

I ended up buying a new inspiron 14, with snapdragon cpu, it was cheaper and longer battery life for just under $300. Worked out great as a basic laptop, had to do some configuration changes as it come with Win 11 S mode. I ended up ordering a Inspiron 14 3420 with Snapdragon 8CX Gen 2. Runs great for daily activities. No gaming, just browsing, IT training Videos and running some code in ViSio Code Studio, paid $300.

I don't like that hinge design. Alot of pressure in a small area and means the bottom isn't supported when typing. That and a very silly exhaust port pointing at the screen. A real shame as I was thinking of getting a Dell.

​@coti1468 if you guys are still searching i would recommend you find a laptop that has a strong Cpu and a dedicated Gpu alot of people use "Gaming laptops" like a G15. A strong processor will help with multitasking and a strong gpu for rendering. Hope this helps

I appreciate the dedication of the after-service team, who visited my home twice to address issues with the sound card and speakers, ultimately providing me with a brand new laptop. However, despite their efforts, I am still experiencing significant problems. My ''renew'' laptop frequently hangs, and during online meetings, the video turns purple and the sound cuts off. The entire ordeal has been unproductive and a waste of time. This ongoing frustration has led me to reconsider purchasing Dell products in the future. NO MORE DELL for me, honestly

Its in comparison to other mid range laptops in a similar price and class. Also I'd like to point out the 5000 series is not a budget series, it's mid-range. The budget series is the 3000 series.

@@SoulOfTech I am surprised they named this one the 3530 and not the 5530. This one is mighty good for a 3000 series laptop and looks more like a 5000 series laptop. I have the Inspiron 16 5630, and this one seems similar to mine but in 15 inch form factor. It even has upgradeable RAM which mine doesn't. On other things mine beats it though, mine has Thunderbolt 4, fingerprint reader and I think the chassis is full aluminum or if not then the keyboard part is also aluminum like the top lid and also has faster 4800 mhz RAM but non upgradeable so maybe it does belong in the 3000 series.

Chromebook. If you’re boujee, get a Macbook with at least 16gb of ram. Easier to navigate. Bottom line, laptops depreciate quick. If you’re going to spend don’t settle for base models that have 8gb ram. You’ll notice the power difference if you have multiple applications/tabs open.
