@@vaibhavsharma2467 my hinge is not in the best condition as well. However, I was aware of the build quality when I was purchasing it. That's why, I have always used extra precaution with it. I mean, at the time for the price, the specs were all I cared for, and only now after having a taste for Well Built machines that I find mine lacking. But still a fantastic machine nonetheless.

+Austin Hernandez You can do those effects in Adobe After Effects if you are really interested. Just paste your paths and add trim paths to them. You can add the start and end point. Hope you find it interesting.

Grabbed the i7 version of this for 799 over the weekend, grabbed a ssd, extra stick of ram, an ips aoc monitor and new backlit keyboard all under 1000. Granted I could of built a new tower but I personally need a laptop for portable podcasting and school. I'm quite happy.

Try and buy a thread lock or what I did to my other laptop screw/hinge problem was I put some heat shrink tape around the screws and now even if I try to get it out, It won't come out. Hope this helped.

I still own this laptop.. and 1 year ago the left sided hinge completely came apart. My dad helped me with some duct tape. Works like a charm now... I'm looking for a new laptop to get next week though!

Nathaniel Andrew about 4-5 frames. Cool math is very demanding. If I were you I would upgrade to a nuclear reactor to get an extra 2-3 frames. Good luck finding your next pc

TYPING IN 2020 AFTER 4 YEARS OF USE, I kept this bad boy and will continue to do so a little longer. This laptop has held up well for me! I watched this video and was instantly sold. The material of the laptop definitely gets dirty and gets scuffs like Dave said. It's no Alienware tank but it's got some weight. It's about average thiccness especially compared to all the sleeker and thinner ones coming out. I take it around a lot so there's that. I do clean whenever necessary though. Battery life is shite now (1 hr) but that's to be expected. I just have it plugged in now. Another weird issue is the keyboard. It is nice to type on BUT I've noticed that when i play LoL (AND ONLY LoL) the keyboard would die and nothing (but my mouse) would register; even the power button! THANK GOD for the single screw back (WHY DON'T ALL LAPTOPS HAVE THIS FEATURE??), that thing is so convenient and has saved my life during league games since I just pop out the back, unplug the cable connected to the battery to turn it off and boot up again which takes like a minute. Idk if its because i have wallpaper engine running in the background or the laptop itself is getting old or Riot Games just hates me. The hinge was a temporary issue as it kept popping the base corners of the laptop up and then down when i would lift the screen up, thus making a loud snapping sound every time. I found a video that said it was a loose screw in the back (inside) that needs to be tightened. I opened it up and screwed both tight again and it was good as new! Speakers are alright but i use a headset. I do notice a stutter sound, maybe driver issues idk but not often. I've kept this baby cleaned and updated internally. I got 8gb extra ram, an SSD to use as my OS, and use the 1tb HDD as storage. The power connection and headphone jack on the left side are a BIG PLUS. Some new laptops today have it on the right and it gets in the way of my mouse. Unfortunately the ethernet is on the right, but i use wifi mainly anyways. Fans don't get too loud; even then I've heard louder fans. The thermals on this is NICE! It's no HP OMEN 15 ice cold but I never had to worry about my fingers and palms burning (Looking at you Asus). It still handles games really well but, of course I have to make a few sacrifices in quality graphics. I've played League and other mobas comfortably on high settings, The Division 2 tolerably on lower settings, and even Apex Legends on mid settings. Sure it's a bit older, but I can see myself comfortably using this for another 2 years. I don't mind looking like a Flintstone with a dinosaur. Cheers to whomever got around to reading this and thanks to Dave2D for this awesome recommendation! It's gotten me through college, saved some cash in pocket, and continues to hold up well!

​@@thibauthsankeu26 no. maybe this comment is too late but i don't recommend you get it. search up "dell 7559 hinge problem" to see why. eventually the laptop will start falling apart on its hinges. mine did and it cut my wifi card wire when the hinge came off, so now i have to use a usb wifi adapter. the charger jack also broke for no reason, and after i replaced it, the computer refuses to charge the battery, so i have to run the laptop directly off of ac, which means really decreased performance. the laptop was great when i first got it but now i wish i saved that $900

Actually I've got a similar version of this laptop on 2017 called Dell 5577, with a GTX 1050 4Gb, I5 7300HQ, 128Gb SSD + 1TB HDD and 8 gigs of DDR4. I'm impressed how the thermals in this laptop are so good, almost no throttling!

Ok lemme be frank. I watched *Linus* 's review of this laptop few minutes back. Why i kept looking for more videos of Dell 7559 ? Because Linus's video, although a great watch, was not as informative as it should be (20% of video being Advertisment). I got this laptop with the 256gb SSD off of Amazon early last month, and I honestly love it. It's kinda cheapy in terms of some things, but it's still really, really good. For an $800 it's an awesome machine, and I honestly wouldn't hesitate to go Dell again when it's time for an upgrade.

I ended up getting this laptop. It honestly is fantastic. It can play small games like no issue. And for more intense games like GW2 if you have it plugged in the fans get a little loud but it gets the job done. It's great for this college student who needed a portible computer but didn't have enough money for a PC and a more class friendly laptop. The only issue I had was the hindge was weird at one point but we found out it's just because a screw was loose. I highly recommend it!

You don't need to get it repaired in shop just pick a screwdriver open the back cover and their are two screw in the corners tighten those. Dell hasn't locked them properly so they often come out.

Bought this laptop, I really love it! I have i7-6700HQ Processor, 128GB SSD 1TB HDD, 960M 4GM, 16GB RAM, 4K touch display I use it for my uni like solid works and auto cad, and played some games like COD, Rocksteady's Batman Trilogy, GTA V, Watchdogs 2, FSX All on high setting All run smooth It does make lot of noise and gets pretty hot too and keyboard is not that great but other than that It's really best budget laptop!

Didn't know Intel was doing i5 quadcores on laptops now, nice! You deserve a lot more recognition! you're reviews are easily on par with Marques Brownlee, Austin Evans and Linustechtips! @@christianarroyo3033 hi, yes i am still using it for office day to day use. for gaming I recently gotten a new nitro 5 gaming laptop. Dell 7559 is still decent, can play some less graphic intense game but not tripple A games anymore

Still using this in 2021. Installed an M.2 SSD for the OS drive some time back, recently replaced the now-old HDD with a fresh new 1TB SSD, and still trucking with MMOs and simple graphics/video editing. ❤️

Hi Dave, that's a really nice channel you've got right there! Haven't been able to find even a decent review on laptops so stumbling upon this was like hitting gold. I saw both your reviews on the Inspiron 7559 as well as the XPS 15 and kinda fell bad for having ordered the 7559! Being a student it was important to go for something that fitted my wallet but being a design student, it was important to have a more colour accurate screen as well. I went in for the 4k display model despite wanting more battery life purely cause the Dell executive told me that the 4k panel was more colour accurate then the FHD one! I even settled for some glare compared to the matte display of the FHD and paid more purely cause colour accuracy is important! However, your review really puts me to doubt and I would want to know the colour fidelity of the 4k panel used in the 7559. I just couldn't find this information anywhere so can only rely on people like you to help me with such information. your response would really be appreciated as the laptop hasn't arrived home get but I just got the shipped notification. I'm hoping to be able to cancel it should the display NOT be colour accurate. However if it even comes slightly closer to the one on the XPS, then I would consider having paid more a worthwhile investment. Hope you can help :)

Got mine yesterday it's a beauty. It has a few problems at first like it hangs/pauses every few seconds but once you have updated the BIOS the issue is solved. Go to dell support via your taskbar icon and install all the drivers and then the bios in the correct order.. Everything will be fixed

I have this laptop and so far it has served me well in terms of running games at acceptable settings. However, I would advise caution to any future buyers of this laptop who plan to carry this around often. The laptop's hinges and casing can come apart due to missing or loose screws. I haven't personally experienced this yet because I usually have a separate laptop for work but it's definitely noteworthy. I saw some others recommend opening up the back, applying threadlocker (Not Glue), and tightening the screws near the hinges. Dell apparently does not cover this under warranty due to it being wear and tear. Other than that, this laptop is pretty solid!

I just purchased one of these bad boys for $850 AUD and it is a really good budget gaming laptop, i am typing on it now, the keystrokes are indeed shallow but it is adequate for gaming and typing my dell insprion 15 7559 screen barley flexes which is great, the track pad is fine it cannot compare to some amazing lenovo trackpads but its good enough it can run Tomb Raider on Ultra settings with 55 fps which is decent, its not going to be smashing current AAA titles like battlefield 1 but it can play it on low to medium settings my specs are : i7 6700HQ 16GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 960m 4GB and a 1TB SSHD i am yet to try out a M.2 SSD on it but it works flawlessly

a huge step up from my laptop, mine is an inspiron 15 n5040 with 8gb memory, an intel core i5-520m dual core, dual thread processor at 2.666GHz, no gpu, display panel of 1366x768 with that stupid reflection, 1 usb 2.0 port and 2 usb 1.0 ports. i am definitely asking for this laptop for my birthday

I tested it out today. It has THE best keyboard for a gaming laptop. The numpad is also the best. All the keys are laid out normally similar to a regular keyboard. I would have bought it if it weighs less than 4.8 lbs

I got a used 4k version of this laptop with an i7 16gb ram for $400 a few months ago. I play casually since i have a desktop with better performance, battery life is Around 4.5 hrs doing web browsing. But the 4k screen is so sharp for when i do edits on photoshop . I love this laptop for editing on the go the 960m is more than sufficient for my needs. Gaming performance is great when i do play

Come back and rewatch it after 3 year lol. The left side of keyboard is starting to broke, the battery is dying ( so i had to bought a new one). But overall still a sturdy and running device. Love u dell

for the trackpad issues, just go to NVIDIA geforce experience settings, and disable share, done, you wont have any problems with the touchpad anymore
