Thanks so much for this video, I zapped my Dell when I opened a bad link on Facebook so I junked it when it wouldn’t boot up. Thanks to you I was able to remove the hard drive.

this Video Was Helpful I just bought one from goodwill & Upgraded the CPU, RAM & SSD. only thing now is that i noticed one of the speakers sounds blown I'm not sure if it was like that before or not so i guess I'll have to check & see if maybe a cable got smashed when putting it back together.

@@ItsBinhRepaired yeah I'm not sure it could just have been blown when i got it I'll have to take it apart again and see. I can get speakers from ebay for $4.50 so maybe I'll just order new ones. i know the speakers are not the best sounding to begin with but I'm thinking about selling it i have about $35 in it right now. my guess it that it worth about $150

please go get urself some proper tools man. some screwdrivers and some prying tools. you won't have to sell ur kidneys for that. and btw next time just use zip ties for mounting the ssd. you don't want any parts wiggling around in there when serving a customer. double sided tape will loosen over time due to heat.
@ItsBinhRepaired11 ай бұрын
How hot do you think SSDs get?... if your components are getting that hot, your computer shouldn't be working. Tape will stick just fine even to the CPU heatsink... What are these proper tools you're referring to? Prying tools suck. You don't get the same kind of maneuverability as you get with fingernails. My comfort and ease of doing the job is more important than your discomfort seeing a guy with long nails. If you have a problem with it, you might want to seek counseling to see why other people's appearances bother you so much. I get the job done and that's all that matters.

@@ItsBinhRepaired calm down dude. was tryna giving u professional advice. do 10 laptops a day and see how it messes up ur nails in no time. also you're a lot faster with some plectrums and a stack of cards cz it also deals with keeping the clips open. you only have 2 hands. and I could literally hear those bits getting screwed as you tried to remove the heavy screws. you can get a proper set of screwdrivers for like $50. i'm sure you earned this doing this repair. was just tryna ease ur life and workflow take it or leave it bro.
@ItsBinhRepaired11 ай бұрын
@peerlessrecords6236 I've been doing this for over 16 years. You don't think I've tried other tools? There are cases where other tools work better, but 99.9% of the time, fingernails work better. Even with a few broken nails, I prefer to use them over those nylon and other material ones. Usually if it'll break my nails, only metal tools will do. I likely have videos of more computer models being disassembled than a lot of techs have even removed screws from. Yes, there are always new things that can be learned, but to imply I don't use other tools because a few cents... If they were a better option, I'd spend thousands on those tools, but they're not better.
