I would like to ask the same as DIno, I can not find any informations elsewhere. How is 5401 handling heat from 45w processors? From review it seems it was alreay getting warm with i5 and therefore if it makes sense to put such a beast in such a small body?
@stanislavvanek80225 жыл бұрын
@@EzBoon-D Hallo DIno, I like it very much. Personally dont need such a GPU performance and would prefer copact body, but I like CPU performance (I wish that Dell i7 would have same, but I am expecting not to...) and all the small things - full size arrow keys, full size F keys, SD card reader, I even like crazy keybord light colors, simple design, nice. If that would be in 14" it would be very considerable. Even if it comes with 16gb RAM, 512SSD, WIN10PRO and 3 year Quick Repair warranty to almost 2000EUR. And that would be also to check - how is warranty and servis working in real life. I spent part of my life in Germany and part in Slovakia, so if it needs service, I would like it fast and for that I have hope in Dell NBD, they have centers all around and might be easier to fix that than machine which is not so well known (that means XMG in Slovakia, where it might not even be on the market)...well at least thats how I see it with my limited knowledge about services :) Thanks for tip!

Hi, excepts the design and better quality materials, is there any good reason to choose the 7400 above this 5401 ?(at the same spec configuration) Thank you
@BsianTech5 жыл бұрын
Hi Xavier, welcome to my videos. So the main difference between the 7400 and 5401 is weight and performance. The 7400 is 1.3KG and 5401 is 1.5kg. The 7400 runs off 8th Gen Intels CPU which has 4 cores and the 5401 is 9th Gen with 6 cores so it can crunch more numbers faster. Also the 5401 has a RJ45 port (ethernet networking port) which the 7400 is now missing. These are the three main major differences you will feel.

@endlesssearch90285 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you for the review. I've heard that this series of dell latitudes is problematic for the left handed (because the left side gets too warm, the air vents blow uncomfortably on your hand, etc.), do you think the 540 have those issues?
@BsianTech5 жыл бұрын
Hi endless search, welcome to my videos. I do agree the left hand side does get warm but wouldn't say crazy hot. Where you palm would sit I would say it isn't too uncomfortable to leave your palm on there if the CPU is running at its max. When it's not running running max and just doing average to low work you won't notice too much heat. The Latitude 5400 shares he same design and I did do a video on the 5400 temperatures which you can see here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZW2q6t_jJt2eMU . Hope that helps you.

@BsianTech5 жыл бұрын
Mara, how about OLED screens does that strain your eyes too? If that is an option then look into the Precision 5540, its got some very decent specs for CAD use. A lot of laptops these days are IPS. I was suprised the Dell 5401 was still TN actually considering its specs and being on 9th Gen. Besides display for you, raw CPU speed is what your after and this 5401 actually has pretty good speeds.
