Useful video. Thanks. But one final step would have helped more. For battery replacement, the cord needs to be disconnected from the battery and reconnected to the new battery. It was easy. I tried and it worked.

Many thanks! Fortunately, I succeded to get a replecement battery even nowadays! How nice was earlier, when you could switch batteries by just a single pull switch...Why manufacturers changed that way? (ofc it is just a rhetorical question).

Hold the power button for 15sec, the let go and press once. did you make sure you didn't connect sideways or incorrectly?

All great except some batteries come without the cable so you need to move it from the old battery to the new one...

BUT you are right don't trash anything until you have the new parts and installed.
