I also removed the 4 screws that hold the cooling fan. There was large amount of dust clumped between the fan and the metal air outflow fins causing overheating. Removing this solved my overheating

Thanks much, almost got it but was stuck on how to get the keyboard out to remove the screws under it. Previous models I've worked on always had the top bezel in front of the screen pull of to access keyboard screws. This is the 1st time I've ever seen one with release clips. Thanks again, you saved me a lot of time and frustration. Btw, problem with mine is that the system password got changed (and lost) so had to do a Cmos battery pull to reset it. Hoping it works, letting it discharge a few minutes while I type this. Thanks again for an excellent video!

No lights in the front or anything, I had it plugged in, and the external power supply is good. someone said the power supply inside my need to be replaced. looks easy to replace after watching your video. were would be a good place to buy this part? I seriously follow all the steps and the part 4:06. Diassemble the screen cable i dont know bcause your hand cover the part. I finally flip the board without opening the screen cable. Plus opening the fan screws and disassemble the fan without touching processor and assemble it again. Assemble all part again and all function normal except the screen wont turn on. But heyy, the fan start working after all this years this laptop no body use since im kid (now im 19 XD) and now i want fix it but the screen wont functioning( before this just the fan wont function, the screen normal has picture and else now it wont) . Any suggestion?

i had to use the screws off the hinge. i'm trying to buy an extra pieces and i have to make sure i'm getting things right. currently there is one screw of the bottom of the motherboard and both of the same screw is on the hinges
