Yes agree. I kind of love the mini tower cases. Although, i had a problem slapping a full profile RX 570 Graphics card on this one. Still editing the video, will upload it tomorrow or next. Pls share the video if you can.

​​@@mustarddiver7281I'm about to build one for my son , he is only 9 so it will be a good starter pc for him to get going , it's a 5050 also with a i7 7700, I'm gonna make a few modifications to the case and install 32gb ram as it only comes with 8gb , rtx 3050 6gb low profile and hopefully it will be good to go , I might upgrade the psu but will wait to see how it runs first. I'm sure this tower version has a 250watt psu , I also have a brand new stock cooler from an i5 4690k that I am gonna use aswell

picked up a 5050 for 100 bucks, updated new 2023 bios update,removed the sata m.2 (crap), put in nvme m.2 ssd for 50, getting 3500mbs, whey on earth would you use sata when it supports nvme,

I plan on using an nvme in my current 5050 build too , can you tell me how you updated the bios? I assume I will need to do this for the graphics card and drivers? I'm good with hardware but lost when it comes to software 😂 Edit: it has an i7 7700, i plan on upgrading to 32gb ram and throwing a low profile rtx 3050 6gb This is basically a fun project and a startup pc for my 9 year old son to get into pc gaming , mostly games like fortnight, Minecraft , roblox , ect

yes i found 2 adapters,6 to 24 pin adapter, 1 for 17 bucks , other has issue where the power supply fan always after shutdown,

Just received a 5050 sff as a christmas gift. I don't even know what to do with it, it's almost a 9 years old very low end hardware. Only thing that's maybe worth anything in there is the SSD, everything else is just e-waste. Do I just throw it at someone I don't like? To get any semblance of value out of it? At nearly 300 usd, this is a very expensive brick to chuck at someone.

@@Hardwaremoney I have to ask, decent for what? gt 1030 is gonna struggle to run anything even at 720p. The cpu is a 6th gen i5. Maybe not the worst thing ever, but a far cry from any modern cpus. SFF components are insanely expensive, so you can't even modernize it. Unless you want to pay 2-3 times more for each component than the cost of the whole PC. It's a nearly 9 years old office PC, for office things it might be okayish I guess?

@@lolowski6826 yes, i used to think like you. thinking every pc should be able to play games and multitask, until someone opened my eyes in 2016. fast forward to 2023, now that i have more sales data, i can tell you for free that the 5050 is a very good decent PC and able to handle the tasks it was intended for.. certainly not gaming and video editing 😉

@@Hardwaremoney Well yeah. For office work, sure. I'm not an office though. :D I'm not saying it's bad for it's purpose. It's bad for my purpose or rather completely useless. I'm doing graphic work, 2GB vram on that 1030 is way too low. 12GB vram is starting to look small nowadays for my purposes.
