I think you should first remove the gpu and then the pcie riser. Cool workstation. It's gonna be pretty nice for homelabs in a few years when they'll be available used for half the price :D. It's very nice of you to make a tear-down video. Sometimes it's hard to find specs for this kind of devices and know how many pcie slots or m.2 they have.

Thanks for reviewing the Dell Precision 3260. With the additional graphics card, you'll have access to seven monitor ports. Why is this crucial? Are the 3 Display Ports soldered to the board, or can you use that space for something else?

That CPU cooler is at the bottom, under the videocard when placed vertically. The videocard will block the heat from the cooler making the unit hot. If they would have placed the cpu above the videocard the heat would have dissipated directly to the air from the upside too.

Recent generation i9 cooled by such a tiny heat sink? I have my doubts. Great video, appreciate this upload. Not enough people cover these, yet I see them nonstop in corporate IT.

They definitely should put in a rear blower card. We want no hot air being vented inside such a compact chassis - Nvidia makes reference blower cards.

Is the cooling appropriate, does it get warm with the fan blowing a lot?? The older model of this version became extremely hot with a lot of fan noise. Was not usable on the desk in front of you. Thanks.

@@redharubaye1269 Unfortunately no, I wound up going with an HP EliteDesk 800 G4 from eBay and an A2000. Handles most of my games at 1440P with no issues. Super happy with this SFF $550 gaming PC.

How loud is the desktop?

So under normal use, you’ll never hear. However, if you were to starts render in any type of software that would push the CPU, you will start to hear it slightly. Running something like Prime 95 or Cinebench, you’re going to hear it after a few minutes.

@@ManeTech yeah, thought so. although, lenovo has space for an extra 2.5’’ drive and memory upgrades are waaay cheaper (at least in my region). we can also opt for no OS over at lenovo and save 100$. in general ive spec’d one over at dell website with i5 12500, 32gb ram, no VGA and it came around 1500$. for that kind of money i think lenovo can squeeze in a t400 4gb and a 2.5’’ drive with also 32gb of memory. anyways, nice form factor. personally i wouldn’t mind twice the size with more expandability options. it would still be smaller than most ITXs. i think. cheers. actually, i think this is smaller than p360 ultra.

but at the same time the gaming performance might suck because the T1000 is a workstation card and not a real graphics card by any means. My laptop's RTX 3050 shreds it in all ways. This really is an odd system.
