My issue is that my Low profile 1650 PCIE Gen 3 x16 will only fit in the x4 Pcie slot and has limited the performance. Is there anyway to gain access to the x16 below the x4. The power supply is in the way.

I'm confused. That top pci slot didnt look like a pci e 16. I thought the GPU slot was hugging close to the psu. How did you slot the card in. I the optiplex started getting built like that and it became Impossible to put 2 slot GPU's in the sff model at the 4th gen it systems.

Did the research. The 4x slot is open ended and allows for a 16x. Draw back is you have a 16 in a 4. So you are losing some bandwidth and performance

@@bornnoir It's quite a bit of performance lost. I got a Dell for free and popped in a 1050ti which works fine. But then I went to upgrade and got a Lenovo SFF where the slots allowed me to put it in a pci-e 16 slot. I ran the 1050ti in both the x4 and x16 slots on the Lenovo just to test the performance difference. Running Horizon Zero Dawn benchmarks I got almost double the performance in the x16 slot. If a Dell SFF is your best/only option then I would recommend an RX 6400 low profile as it's a single slot GPU.

It depends on the card and how much bandwidth it needs and how much bandwidth the 4x slot can supply. All graphics cards have 16x connectors (typically) but they are not all as powerful as each other. A high end card will use more bandwidth than a low end card.

the mobo is not ATX compliant, you might need to do some tweaks to your case, and as for the PSU it uses a proprietary connection, so not the best idea unless you find the proper adapters (not sure if exist)
